Nice hotel with friendly staff
Reviewed By Christine GStayed here for one night as part of an Elbe cycle touring trip. The hotel is just off the centre but easy to reach. Our room was nice and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. We ate in the hotel and, while not typically Chez, it was nice. It was a good value choice.

Comfortable and modern for a stay over.
Reviewed By Vanda SOur second stop over in Parduvice and we like this hotel. It’s very clean, modern and very comfortable. Big walk in showers and quality linen. our room overlooked a quiet paved walkway and small car park area. Breakfast was well presented but would have liked fresh fruit. A short walk into the historic part of town and not to far to walk to the train station where we took a train to Olomouc. Will definitely stay there again.

Reviewed By markstevenson6153 nights here and very impressed for a hotel in this price brackett. bedrooms spacious, beds very comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is outstanding. The bar has a nice selection of CZ wines as well as French and Italian. We will re visit next year.

Adequate for three nights but don't park your car under the tree in the car park
Reviewed By Mike PWe stayed at the Golden Pike for three nights earlier this month. At the time of our stay, there was a major horse race in Pardubice and many of the hotels were full. We were lucky to be able to get accommodation. So, what's it like? It is certainly of its time. The building dates from before the turn of the 20th century and the downstairs rooms have very high ceilings and are of the decor that was contemporary at that period. The downstairs cannot be described as cozy. Our room was near the top of the building and access was via a glass walled lift. We rather liked this feature. The room itself ponged a bit where some previous visitor had smoked in it. This being despite the fact it is a non-smoking hotel. It was furnished to a basic standard and we would have liked to have had two chairs to sit on instead of just one. A safe would also have been nice. Okay but not outstanding. The hotel is quite central and it benefits from a adequately sized car park. I parked my car reversed against a wall, beneath the branches of a tree. Big mistake. When I returned to the car three days later, it was covered in tree gunge and guamo. Be careful where you park your car unless you want to spend time in a car wash. The hotel dining is a huge cavernous space and there was a large noisy group in there on the first night. We went out to eat at a nearby restaurant called Anh Dung Asia. Any restaurant that has dung in it's name has to be worth investigating! The second night we ate in the hotel restaurant and although it lacked any sort of ambience, the food was excellent and service top notch. Breakfasts were also served in the same room and were quite adequate. The hotel bar is in the form of a pub which is adjacent. We had originally not thought it was part of the hotel and it seemed very popular with the locals. In terms of location, the hotel is at one end of the main drag through the town. It is around 30 minutes walk to the station and the walk takes you through the older part of the town including the old town square. We probably won't be going back to Pardubice any time soon, which is more the pity. Those who are contemplating a visit to Prague might wish to consider Pardubice as an alternative place to stay. There are excellent and incredibly cheap (less than £5 for the two of us return) rail services. Pardubice is far less commercialised and touristy yet it is around an hour by train from the capital. Would we stay there again? Most definitely. Hope this is helpful.

Reviewed By radimkuI was born and raised in Pardubice and have been staying at Signal every time I visit since I accidentally discovered it a few years ago. It is a perfect place for a brief or a longer stay. The rooms are bright, spacious, well-equipped, and extremely clean. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The accommodation is located above a pub, which is well separated and serves tasty food. The entire experience of staying at Hotel Signal is wonderful yet inexpensive. PS: Looking at the hotel's Website, their address is different from the one listed here on TA. Another entry under "Signal" has the proper address, but it's only listed as a restaurant and therefore cannot be reviewed as a hotel. Hope this is not too confusing ;)

Reviewed By W239POrichardcWhilst the property has had a great renovation, the room we had on the top floor was a) not fit for older couples, the 3 floors carrying bags, then having to negotiate a spiral staircase was total unacceptable, b) not fit for taller people, the sloping rooms due to the eaves in an attic extension although quaint is not practical. The sloping room in the bathroom, and no upright shower caused too many problems. No shelf to put your toiletries, you cannot stand upright to shower, you cannot stand upright to dry yourself. Not a nice experience.??

Reviewed By Ladislav BDnes jsem s manželkou a přáteli navštívil tento podnik. Předesílám že se jednalo o večeři a ne ubytování, tedy hodnotím restauraci. Vnitřek restaurace je vzdušný a i když moderní, tak působí příjemným dojmem. Ale sedli jsme si venku, příjemná zahrádka, tak akorát velká kde stín zajišťují stromy a keře, tedy příjemně přírodní. Obsluha byla milá. Vyzkoušeli jsme dva předkrmy a tři hlavní jídla a dezert. Vše bylo výborné a dobře připravené. Steak byl jak jsem si řekl a hned na první dobrou, v této disciplíně většina restaurací zklame. Ryba byla výborná a nevysušená a to samé panenka. Předkrmy dosti velké a chuťově výborné. Tečka v podobě zmrzlinové koule a ne kuličky jak nám řekla obsluha byla parádní. Ceny jsou na Pardubice velice příjemné. Mohu doporučit a rádi se určitě vrátíme.

Reviewed By Aleksandra PThe roomis clean, spacious and warm, the beds comfortable. The bathroom and the toilet are clean. In the morning we have a fantastic, hearty breakfast. A parking place is in the street. The guesthouse is situated within a walking distance to the centre. We stay one night and pay 38,70 euro for a room plus breakfast, which is rather expensive.
