August 6, 2022 Esmeralda Fenner

Famed for its soccer team and music scene, which has produced the likes of the Smiths and Oasis, this center for sports and the arts is a down-to-earth and friendly city. The so-called Capital of the North has overcome industrial decline, bombing (in WWII and by the IRA) to become a confident and cosmopolitan city of well over two million. It is well served by a bus and light rail network. Top attractions include the Lowry art complex, arcade Affleck's Palace and Canal Street gay village.

Room OK, customer service non existent

I knew in advance that there was only 15 minutes to drop off before parking charges kicked in. What I didn’t know was that there are no luggage carts and reception refused to temporarily store bags while I returned car to rental area. I was traveling alone with 4yo and 2yo but receptionist said there was nothing they could do to help me. Ended up running up and down to my room 3 times while kids cried in the car. Room is OK but if you can’t get the basics of hotel customer service right then can’t expect more than a poor review.

Beautiful small party

Reviewed By Ruth G

My husband and I were under pressure to book a beautiful small family party for my sons 21st birthday as his 18th was such a success. We’ve stayed at the KST before so we knew that it was a beautiful hotel. Unfortunately we thought about it too long so the bedrooms sold quickly, but we hired the beautiful Mezzanine room overlooking the restaurant. On arrival we were shown into the room which looked incredible with a giant silver 21 balloon and lots of other smaller balloons. There were tea lights on the tables overlooking the restaurant, all lit, a beautiful cake we ordered and the table was tastefully set. Sophie looked after us and was really attentive over everything -every detail. The meal surpassed expectations, it was fabulous. The atmosphere was relaxed we wernt pressurised to finish. Catlin the events manager mainly organized it for us, and also Leah (guests relations) who we’ve met before and who organized the cake, balloons and took pictures of us all at the end. I wouldn’t hesitate to organize another small party there or stay! Thank you. The personal touch of it all as we’ve stayed there several times made it a very happy event

Disappointing

Reviewed By WarrenYorkshire

This is the second time we have stayed here and the second time the spa has been closed due to maintenance issues. As this was the main reason for choosing this hotel this was very disappointing. The hotel is top class in every other respect with great rooms, amazing communal arrears and very attentive staff but please sort the spa maintenance issues out or at least warn your guests before they arrive.
