The Hotel is in Lienz main square, opposite the Liebburg. One of the characteristics of our hotel is the historic flair of the precious furnishings from earlier times. Have a nice breakfast on the front balcony during summer times!

The room was very clean, same goes for the swimming pool, sauna, which we appreciated after hours of skiing . Well situated in the center of the town to have dinner at night to be noted : Far from the ski station (bus or car needed)

Great Christmas holiday venue
Reviewed By smcguinnWe are a family of four from Ireland (two adults, two teenagers) and spent Xmas week in this lovely hotel. This was a repeat visit from a few years earlier and memory did not disappoint. The staff were courteous, helpful and our lack of knowledge of the German language posed no problems at all. The breakfast buffet had an array of various fresh breads, choice of juices, teas, coffees, cereals, fresh berries and cut fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, eggs etc. The evening dinner menus easily catered for us all, vegetarian and carnivores alike! Santa even came on Xmas Eve and gave each of us a present! The saunas and steam room area was relaxing, clean and warm. The bedrooms were very comfortable although the underfloor heating had to be adjusted downwards as it was too warm at times! The proximity of the hotel to the ski lifts and ski hire shop is a big bonus. The hotel is only a short walk into town. We would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Michela and all the staff.

Friendly staff at reception, old-fashioned rooms, poor breakfast
Reviewed By I DFirst of all the ladies at the reception were really friendly and helpful. Also the fact that you had to pay for the parking was then easier to bear. Unfortunately I was not aware of this, but as I just stayed for one night it was not too bad. The hotel is located perfectly in the center - close to restaurants and shops. The room was o.k. for one night - I wouldn't have liked to stay a lot longer as it was with carpet and rather dark. The breakfast was a buffett and not really inviting. Not a big variety of bread or vegetables or anything. Would have been better to go to a bakery nearby instead. Also you have a lovely view from the rooftop, where also the smoking area is - think you could arrange some nice parties there too. In addition I was informed of a sauna which is regularly heated (on the 2nd floor if I remember well). Liked, that I was invited to go there just when I arrived. Felt like an indecent proposal ;-) Basically I would recommend this hotel for duty travellers or short stays.

Reviewed By kubulafI am very glad to stay here for a week just after Christmas. Everything was perfect! Rooms were very clean and spacious and I slept well! I haven´t met such a friendly and kind staff like in Hotel Moarhof, especialy Mrs. Eveline in dining room was so nice to us :) Parking in carpot and skiroom is available for everybody, including free wifi. The best thing was the free service of a transfer from hotel to ski lifts! This was very comfortable and I simply love it! Thank you!

Reviewed By KarllossI visited Hotel Gasthof Gribelehof with 10 others on a motorcycle trip. The hotel has plenty of parking and being away from the town it seemed very safe and secure (not saying the town wasn't). The rooms were excellent, the staff very friendly and courteous. Being some distance from the town we elected to eat in the hotel. The actual area we ate in was a marquee outside, which was a tad cold. The food was ok/average but all in all we had a great stay and I would stay there again.

Reviewed By dmsuk_12We had a faultless stay here, we were able to check in early which we really appreciated. The staff couldn't have done more for us. The room was fabluous, brand new, tasteful and with a 'Wow' view. Fabulous bathroom within the main area of the room (separate toilet), loved the rainfall shower & lovely toiletries. Free parking for our motorcycle. The weather was gorgeous so we were able to spend the entire afternoon enjoying the excellent Nature Pool and comfy sunloungers. Plenty of towels and you can take drinks (from their own brewery) to the pool area, it's very peaceful and relaxing. The restaurant was excellent, the quality of the ingredients superb, all with a beautiful view from the terrace, my only critisism is that smoking is allowed on the terrace, but I guess not a problem when it's cooler and the restaurant is indoors (and newly kitted out with lovely decor & furniture). Breakfast was superb, many seating areas inside & outside. Plenty of choice of hot and cold foods, I am always happy when there is smoked salmon! Lovely coffee and fresh fruit too. Highly recommended for a luxury and peaceful stay.
