Nice but hot
Reviewed By Richard HStayed here for one night whilst on business in Aschersleben. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. My room was on the first floor looking into the cobbled street at the front of the hotel. My room was clean and spacious with a double bed. The bathroom was also spacious with a shower in the bath. The desk was a little small but ok. The room had a large windows party which let the sun in and also the heat. I opened the windows as it was too hot and closed the curtains. I visited the restaurant and had my evening meal, the food was ok good. The room was still very warm but I got off to sleep ok unfortunately the noise from traffic due to the cobbles kept waking me up and the road seemed quite busy. Not the best nights sleep but ok. Breakfast buffet was ok with a good selection of food and coffee at the table.

Nice service, and good breakfast
Reviewed By Lars Bo MWe had a very late arrival but the Hotel was very kind and stayed up to welcome us. Room were very spacy and bathroom was new and clean. Pretty close to the station - a little noice when trains pass by.

Menu had a large selection of local regional food and it was excellent quality, we were so impressed that we returned the following evening

A lovely location but not such a warm welcome
Reviewed By pobzypaulaThe location of this hotel is beautiful with some fantastic forest walks surrounding it. The hotel itself is clean with a rustic feel and has a fairytale charm. Unfortunately for us we must have caught the owner on a bad day as when we arrived we could not find anyone around, there were no signs to say where the owner was, so we decided to go for a walk and come back later, when we returned for the second time we could still not find anyone to check us in, we had looked all around. Eventually we decided to phone the property and the owner answered saying he had been in all afternoon. We thought it was a bit strange that he did not hear us as we had made some noise trying to find someone and knocked on a lot of doors, but anyway we thought maybe it was just some crossed wires. So we go inside to check in, the owner is really very frosty with us and we get the feeling we are not so welcome, so we think to ourselves just forget him and enjoy our holiday, which we did. On leaving the owner was again frosty and did not really want to chat with us, and it just basically felt that he did not like us, so we where like oh whell, it was a nice place but we wont be coming back as we did not like the frosty uncomfortable atmosphere. Its funny how a lot of the reviews say the owner was friendly, who knows maybe it was just a bad day or so, but for us it was not really a polite way to treat your guests, so I guess we don't return, which is a shame because it would have been a good place to go back to.

Reviewed By V6877YJchristiansWir waren als Wandergruppe mit 12 Leuten zwischen 50 und 60 Jahren für drei Übernachtungen hier. Sehr freundlich familiär geführtes Hotel mit Charme aus den 70igern. Gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis...Frühstück ist gut....Sehr viel Bioprodukte, größte Rücksicht auf Allergien bei Nahrungsmitteln, gute Betten, leider ist bei den sanitären Einrichtungen (WC und Dusche) noch Handlungsbedarf....schwergängige Wasserhähne, geringer Wasserdruck, riechendes WC. Das Abendessen war ebenfalls gut, es wurde leider nur ein Gericht angeboten...

The Hotel-Pension Jagerstieg: Cosy double rooms or single rooms (family room with two bedrooms possible) for a resin-.Urlaub sophisticated ambience. Tasteful furnishings and bathrooms with shower / WC, balcony. All board room, the dining room (restaurant) and the swimming pool are easily accessible via elevator. The apartment building is directly opposite the Pension: our apartments and bungalows offer peace and generous living in your resin holidays with children. They are ideal for family holidays in the resin (two adults and two children); equipped with free patio or balcony, shower / WC and a small kitchenette. There are also apartments with two bedrooms or interconnected apartments booking (surcharge). The central location allows you a comfortable journey for your family vacation. There is nothing better than to swim before breakfast, while the sun glistens on the water. You can reach our pool accessible by lift and have a wonderful view over the surrounding countryside. For Wellness and Fitness our houseguests are a generous indoor pool (6m x 10m) with large panoramic windows and sauna. Massage & beauty treatments can largely be perceived within our company and can be booked individually. Cheap Accommodation with swimming pool and program Excursions, city tours and nature. So the holidays with children should be planned in the resin. Your dog, you can also bring free of charge!

Reviewed By DonBerlin*** for English see below *** Familie Fischer geht die Extrameile für die Gäste: schon der Anruf zum Reservieren war aussergewöhnlich freundlich, wir sind aber auch zum Reservieren gekommen ;) Wir konnten problemlos später anreise als angegeben und haben auch zu späterer Stunde die Hausführung bekommen. Das Gebäude ist alt, aber die Fischers haben schon einige behutsame Änderungen vorgenommen und sind noch dabei. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war super. In der Gegend: fahren Sie hierher, wenn Sie tolle Gastgeber schätzen! Family Fischer goes out of their way to make guests feel special: the telephone call when making the reservation was already outstanding in friendliness while still 'getting it done'. It was no problem to arrive later than stated in the reservation and we still got the grand tour of the hotel at this later hour. It is an old building but the Fischers have already made many subtle changes and are always at it. The rooms are cosy and very clean. We loved the breakfast. If in the area: stay here if you like great hosts!

Reviewed By Susan WBeautiful setting. Excellent hosts who went beyond most hotels to make our stay truly memorable. Not only did Christian print out routes for us when we wanted to visit the steam train, He took us to the station and picked us up. He attended to our every need , asking if we required anything different at breakfast and supplying anything requested. Rooms were airy , clean and showers were wonderful. A truly lovely place that I would recommend to everyone
