Bad service!! I would not say this is a 5 star hotel
Reviewed By ormalkWe have been for 5 days in the hotel in its old part and the holiday was just a disappointment. We had a blockage in the toilet which caused the smell of sewage in the room and water leaking from the toilet. When we complained, a maintenance man arrived and could not handle the problem. We complained 3 times and each time he came and the problem was not resolved. None of the hotel staff bothered to contact us and check if the problem was resolved and how was our feeling. We just stayed for 4 nights in a sewer-like room. When we were asked how it was at the hotel and told how we felt the receptionist said it was probably a case of bad luck. Unlucky ??? Shame on a hotel that defines as a 5 star that the receptionist answers such an answer. Service under all criticism !! Besides, the food is the same every day and the staff of the dining room are very uninviting and not nice. The hotel is not recommended at all!

Much more then expected
Reviewed By Inga NShort fabulous break for a family wedding . We were definitely upgraded to a bigger room with a better view. Much appreciated!!! Especially because it wasn't hight season yet . Absolutely clean. Great breakfast with everything anyone could possibly want . Down side is that you pay extra for parking. But as hotel is more then reasonably priced ,can't really complain. Thank you all !! Hope to see you in the future again .

The hotel has excellent location with great vicinity to sea line and own beach. Internet was fast, rooms clean and spacious. I was surprised with quality of buffer they serve there and special appreciation for spa area-amazing!!! All staff is fluent in English and cooperative. I strongly recommend this hotel for family or business trip.

All the staff (cleaning, pool, restaurants, bars, animation, reception, etc ) is very very proffesional, polite and helpful. The animation team was great! The evening shows were very good. The food was very tasty and very good quality. Congrats, Grifid, for keeping your standards high! We shall came back!

Reviewed By majjaonaiseI stayed at Odessos Park with my mum from August 31st to September 7th. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful, however, the room we got sent to at first had not been cleaned yet, so we had to go back to the reception desk and get a room change. The rooms on the fifth floor are modern, nicely furnished, clean, and the balcony is very spacious with 2 added loungers, which we really appreciated as well as the amazing view of the sea, especially during sunrise. An interesting thing about the rooms is that they are unlocked by fingerprint, which comes in handy when you don't want to worry about where your key is all the time. Cleaning service ladies were friendly, thorough. I could unfortunately not say the same about the animation team once the girls left. I am personally used to a very friendly and excited team of animators that make everyone feel welcome at any activity they manage, and the girls (I don't know their names, unfortunately) did a way better job at that. Once they left and they were replaced by two men, I did not want to attend animation activities at all as I didn't feel very welcome (e.g. I went to play table tennis and when I got there, the animator was apparently "impressed" and told me he did not think table tennis was a "women sport". I thought these activities are just for fun, not a championship.). Mini disco for kids started late a couple of times with the animators dancing to themselves and not entertaining the children. Also, the position of the animation podium across the pool from the pool bar is a bit complicated when you wish to get drinks to watch a special show and you need to undergo a long journey just to get a drink. Speaking of the pool bar, the staff working the pool bar smiled at us about once or twice out of the entire week we were staying and had an attitude. The drinks were okay. The pool was great. Clean, big, has a kids section and a slide. We did not visit the relax pool. What we did visit however was the hotel wellness, we decided to get a rose face mask, which comes with a little massage. The massage was not listed in the face mask, so I was a bit startled when the lady started the massage because I didn't expect it. I would recommend informing customers about the whole service before starting it in case they would be uncomfortable with being touched on some body parts. The service itself was nice. Right next to the wellness desk were toilets, that were used mainly by people going from the pool, which meant that the floors were soaking wet and the toilets were smelly. There were also toilets next to the restaurant, which were okay, however, they never had paper towels in them and drying hands with the air dryer took forever. Speaking of the restaurant, at first, we were disappointed. Some of the dishes were very dirty and when I politely asked for cutlery when it was about 20 minutes until the end of lunchtime, I was met with an "oh my god" and rolled eyes from one of the waiters. I understand that we might've been a bit late, however, it was not our fault since we had come back a bit later from a trip with our travel agency and we did not want to inconvenience the poor waiters by needing them to do their job. The dishes were significantly cleaner after a couple of days. There was a variety of foods to choose from, a nice assortment of vegetables, fish and other meats, we were satisfied. Sometimes, the drinks would be really watered down. Moving on, the hotel's layout was unusual for us. We got used to it, but the elevators certainly did not make it easier. Waiting five minutes for an elevator is not pleasant, especially when the elevator arrives full of people and you need to wait some more for another elevator. Two of the three elevators sounded like they were going to break any second. The location of the hotel is nice with a lot of shopping opportunities (and about a million ATMs on the way), several pharmacies, and a COVID testing center nearby. The road to the beach is okay, in the mornings we saw about 3 stray dogs, but they weren't dangerous. To sum up, the hotel has its pros and cons, just like any other, however, we will most likely not be returning, mostly because of the staff.

It is so good it I want to share it with other travellers and out of gratitude to the hotel, for this absolutely superb holiday (11 nights): 1. Everything is SUPER CLEAN AND VERY WELL-KEPT, not just by Bulgarian standards. I have rarely seen 4* hotels this good, let alone in the UK, Germany or Holland. 2. The GREAT STAFF is also very helpful, should anything different be requested. I had no complaints, but a stray comment led to someone running up to make everything perfect. BTW and quite pleasant: Nobody begged for tips or lingered in the hopes of. I chose to give a few Lewa here and there rather than a larger note at once and it was always received with a friendly thanks. These people work HARD to make our luxurious holidays at incredible value and a bit of (financial) gratitude should be given to respect this! 3. My ROOM IS AMAZING: Just like the pics on their website, everything looks like it was renovated yesterday, very stylish and comfortable – and SAFE/SECURE. Nice extras: FREE Wi-Fi and room safe, and the mini-bar fridge is restocked daily with drink packs, water, beer. There's a bathtub with TWO shower heads, so the best of both worlds, whatever you prefer. Very comfy and SPOTLESS bed and other furniture. My bedsheets and towels were changed every day and the room was always very thoroughly cleaned. 4. A NICE MIX OF GUESTS from everywhere, young and older, with and without kids - and honestly, ALL the guests behaved themselves and were not the rowdy, drinking, party-crowd that hotels have to bear with as much as the less wild holidaymakers. This hotel has a VERY FRIENDLY, OPEN ATMOSPHERE! 5. Very fortunately for the other hotel guests, people looking for a disco or partying found it a short distance away, and there was MINIMAL NOISE DISTURBANCE within the hotel. 6. There's a VERY GOOD GYM, with the best equipment I've seen in 4-5* hotels anywhere. 7. I usually don't go for (usually overpriced) massages or treatments, but the SPA has a first-rate ACADEMIC PHYSIOTHERAPIST (Zlatin) and staff who REALLY know what they're doing - and again, at GOOD VALUE. 8. The FOOD: A good variety at the buffets and they even have a pâtisserie for really nice cakes, cookies and typical Bulgarian treats. I only wish I'd brought some chili along - I like it spicier than it is served, but that's just me - And another thing easily fixed. There’s a convenient microwave too. The cooks and waiters were quick, focused … and also good for a bit of a laugh – THANKS! 9. The BAR AND ALL-INCLUSIVE DRINKS: I mostly had wine which was very nice indeed, even sparkling - and I didn't have a single headache from it all stay. Exclusive cocktails are (as always at all-incl.) more the exception, but the VERY QUICK AND FRIENDLY BAR STAFF (Stan, Danscho and Zlatin) keep everyone hydrated and happy, all day till late night. They even had the time (and patience) to teach me some vocabulary so I could order in Bulgarian – and we all had a laugh every time I got it wrong -Tchewdessno (= wonderful) 10. There were a lot of very nice areas to sit and enjoy a drink, the sun (or some shade! ?), a chat.

Reviewed By dianarI6814XPFirst of all I want to thank the animation team for keeping us all entertained..There is no way you get bored with all the activities like zumba, water gymnastics, water polo, darts and many more. In the evenings there is mini disco for all the children and after that there is an evening entertainment program which can be either a live show, games or a dance party. It was by far the greatest vacation I went to in Bulgaria, all without leaving the hotel. Second, the food is delicious! They have themed dinners, including asian or italian cuisine and very tasty desserts. The staff is very friendly, always ready to help with information. There are hand sanitizers and masks at the restaurant, however not many people keep the mask on for too long (it’s not the hotel’s fault in my opinion, everyone should be responsible for this). I definitely recommend this hotel and I will come back to it everytime I want to go to Bulgaria!

A nice hotel, but could have a better staff
Reviewed By stelap454We visited this hotel at the end of August, the first bad impression was the receptionist, who gave us to fill in COVID declarations, which she herself was not very familiar with the content. It was hard to find the hotel even with GPS, but there is a private parking and it is free for hotel guests. We was on HB, so we started up with dinner, restaurant is big and clean, they provide guests masks and gloves, whenever they are in the food area, great variety of everything, the chef stays there and observe, whenever anything finished it’s fulfilled, if anything’s drops in the floor immediately is picked up and thrown in to the garbage, it was never crowded there. Since drinks are not included in HB, except for “cold drink” and water, the staff from the bar were very kind and talkative. Unfortunately, that might be the only + for our stay. Hotel is old but renovated, although you have like 4 floors without an elevator, we knew that, but we saw that there were some staff taking the luggage of foreign tourist, we picked up our on our own. The room was spacious, but WIFI is really poor, TV is like 5 channels, there is NO hairdryer in the bathroom! Pool closes at 5 p.m. so is the kids playground. The way to the beach is not very pleasant I have to say. Anyway, although tall mentioned above, we were ready to stay 2 more nights, at reception gives up a price and we agreed, later on the same night they call and told us a different price, so we left. I don’t know if we would go at this hotel again. If you like Golden Sands and are looking for good food, may be that is your place.

Disappointing experience

The reasons are listed below: - the public spaces are not sufficient for the number of guests. - parking - there is underground parking but is not enough for the number of guests. Therefore, the cars are parked on the street, close to each other. For one of the entrances, I couldn't enter in the hotel's lobby with a stroller because the cars were parked very close to each other and close to the hotel's walls. I had to go down 3 floors of stairs with the stroller and my 2 years old daughter. On top of this, they charge 20 LEV per day (around 15E) for all the cars, no matter if they are parked on the street or in the designated parking space. - sunbeds on the beach - there aren't enough for all guests so if you don't go between 06-07 in the morning and occupy one, most likely you will not be able to get one. The beach is also quite small in the area where the hotel is. I saw so many argues on the beach between the quests over the sunbeds. Quite embarrassing! - the restaurant - very crowded, noisy and messy. There are long queues formed for every meal and the food is not very tasty, disappointing even for an "all inclusive" hotel. The tables are also very close to each other and you always need to bother your neighbours when sitting down or getting up. Awful coffee and water and juice from a machine. - there is no bar on the beach and you are not allowed to take the drinks outside the hotel. - the drinks are mostly served in plastic cups and they are very bad. - not many interesting activities for the children. Similar for the adults. - some of the guests were very rude and had no respect for the others
