An OK quiet old fashioned place
Reviewed By Yogev_rThe place is quite isolated, outside the small village. There is no elevator, so guests need to carry their luggage upstairs. Corridors are dark, room looks old, very old creaking wooden bed (but comfy mattress), a small TV set, no place to put the suitcase on, no trash can, no napkins, old towels, no toiletries.... Bathroom light so dim, you can hardly see yourself in the mirror..... Dinner served to our group was tasty, but too small amounts of food and nothing to choose from. Breakfast was available after 8:30 only, and was quite poor...

A great place to spend a few days in the middle of nature is in Garda Seaca village, at Izbucul Tauz Guesthouse, a great location combining the best conditions of accommodation with wild nature. The guesthouse is in the category 3 stars, it is built of calibrated logs, so the indoor atmosphere is warm, friendly, according to the beauty of the place. The furniture is entirely new, made of solid wood, each room with its own private bathroom. On the ground floor you will find a generous 60 sqm living room, suitable for relaxing in the evening, a small party with friends. Also for your comfort we have a fully equipped kitchen, so our guests can cook their own meals.

Reviewed By LauraZarzu19This is such an enjoyable destination for so many reasons. The house is made of wood and has 10 individual rooms. It is located in the mountains, so the views are breathtaking. It is close to so many natural attractions such as: Izbucul Tauz, Coiba Mare, Coiba Mica, Ghetarul Vartop Cave, Scarisoara, Calineasa Meadow etc. The rooms are very, very clean, you get so delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner (traditional food) and the customer service is just amazing - so personal and candid. There are a few km of off-road, so bare in mind to tackle the road with an appropriate car (high ground clearance). I totally reccommend this place!

Nice place and nice people
Reviewed By Iulian PNice place to stay in the Apuseni Mountains. We stay in August 2017 for three nights. The rooms are very big and confortable. Only one room had private bathroom but since all the floor was ours we did not have issues with bathroom. Everything is spotless clean. The biggest plus is the host which is a very friendly and helpful person (thank you for the palinca). And ofc i should not forget the property dog (Lucky), my kids shed tears after him after we left.

Beautiful people in beautiful Apuseni
Reviewed By רות חI booked Casa Alex for my son and his friends. They were 17 people! We ordered breakfast and dinner for 3 days. Casa Alex were amazing because for 1. They had to deal with different food habbits such as people who couldn't eat meat, some with gluten free diet, some vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters... Casa Alex did an amazing job in catering to all of them - to every one's satisfaction. 2. They brought a woman from the village near them to translate to English. I coordinated the communication with them on the computer and Casa Alex were very cooprative. They took care of the group as if they were their own kids... offered them to make sandwiches for lunch. I loved the fact that the food was very Authentic Romanian food and the whole experience was about meeting local rural life. I cannot thank them enough!

Nice location
Reviewed By 4alegna5We stayed at this location while exploring the Apuseni Mountains. The rooms are on the small side but they are clean and comfortable. The location is a bit outside Garda de Sus, by the main road. It is a 10 minute walk to Garda de Sus so we made a point of exploring the area on foot. We chose to eat only breakfast on site but they offered lunch and dinner, as well. Pestera Scarisoara and Poiana Calineasa are a short drive away.The road through the mountains is absolutely spectacular !
