In this sunny setting you will relax in the calm of our hotel. All our rooms have an ensuite bathroom, television, telephone. Some of our rooms have communicating doors for the comfort of large families. We are located only 1,5 km from the center of Combloux, a typical alpine village named "pearl of the Mont Blanc" by Victor Hugo. Only 4 km from Megève and 500 m from the " Evasion" ski area (420 km of slopes).

Reviewed By FP5000A really friendly welcome. Service was excellent throughout. Food was very good. A good set menu but the chance to choose from some local favourites as an alternative. Room was small but clean. Decor ok only. Plenty of parking and a ski locker where your skis can be locked up and boots dried. Perhaps 1 kilometre to Princess ski lifts at Megeve, a very easy drive.

It's excellent with low price when talking about 3-star restaurants. Dessert cart given to you after dessert alone is worth going back there for.

Reviewed By MummaonthaedgeWe stayed one night here because we couldn't get to chamonix on our arrival day because of snow. We phoned from the road at 8pm at night and they arranged accommodation for 6 of us and an evening meal! The meal was authentic and very tasty if a little expensive. The fondue is the children's new favourite! The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms we had were totally fabulous and a really good price. Four of us in one room and 2 teens in another. Both rooms had bathrooms. In the morning we noticed the views! From the balcony you can see mountains all around. A wonderful little place that we would definitely visit again.

Reviewed By rodnick1The place is on a steep last hill so if you are not prepared and the weather against you it might be tricky to park there The rooms are basic with a strange cloth lining on some walls which made by young one sneeze and cough often The fridge was broken and we had to use the common one downstairs It is not too close to pistes or ski lifts especially for beginners We were lucky we got it cheap in Dec as it "did not snow for 6 years in Dec" so you need to go Jan/Feb as not too high up

Some of the highlights: Outstanding service from all of the staff - reception, restaurant and housekeeping. Not sure I've ever experienced such consistently high service. The hotel is very stylish and well equipped. Excellent WiFi, super comfy bed, handy ski room. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful view out to the slopes. Location is spot on for access to the slopes and the main Combloux lift ...just across the road and a few steps, then ski down to the lift. Food was brilliant too. All in all a brilliant stay.

Au bout d'un chemin avec vue sur les montagnes, une jolie et élégante grange rénovée avec beaucoup de goût et des matériaux naturels. De quoi ce recharger en bonnes énergies :) Ellena réserve à ses hôtes un accueil chaleureux, joyeux et plein d'Amour. Nous la remercions pour ses petites attentions :) Cerise sur le gâteau : un espace bien être avec sauna et jaccuzi pour se détendre après une journée de ski ou de randonnée.

Brilliant value from money
Reviewed By nicola hHad a lovely week in April, some skiing still available if you travel and plenty of walking. Paid €20 extra for Mont Blanc view it was definitely worth it. The apartment is very basic with minimum low quality equipment but it had all you need. It was warm and very clean, the staff are lovely and very helpful. The swimming pool is a good size and again very clean but in need of a refurb. You had to pay extra for sauna or steam room. We would stay again.

A true second home from home
Reviewed By specasWe stayed a week at the hotel. The staff was very helpful and sociable. We were not sure if we would manage to arrive during check-in time so we called them and they solved the problem. The location was the top one, with a perfect view from the hotel to Mont Blanc. There are nice restaurants within minutes from the hotel as well as some boulangeries (where we bought freshly baked croissants in the morning) and a mini supermarket Casino (there is big one only around a 6-7 m. drive from the hotel) Another huge advantage was the closeness (a 5 minute walk) to the waterhole biotope (a natural swimming pool with a direct view to Mont Blanc). Only 5 EU pp per day and you can leave it to have lunch and then return for another swim. We found the town of Combloux excellent for hiking trips. We took one, covering 12 km over the hills and that was tough enough. Combloux is a perfect place to go on sightseeing tours around (around 30 min to Chamonix to visit Aiguille du Midi and Montenvers mer de glace). As for the hotel itself, it consists of apartments and chalets. We lived in a one-bedroom apartment. When we entered our apartment after a long tiring car journey, we found the bottle of wine and a cute souvenir on the table. What a promising start! Our car was parked in the underground parking which was super as those 7 days in Combloux were unusually hot. The apartment was a very light one, clean, with a fully-equipped kitchen (no meals at the hotel). We had a huge balcony where we had breakfast each morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The bathroom and the toilet were separate, the rain head shower was spacious. We went to see the indoor swimming pool in the main building and we liked it, however, with nice weather outside we didn't use it. We will definitely return to the same hotel and highly recommend it to other tourists.
