Reviewed By guimacaco73Estava em viagem solo pelo Mato Grosso e passei na Chapada dos Guimarães por dois dias. A estrutura da pousada é fantástica, mas não tem serviço nem gerência qualquer. Talvez pela baixa estação, mas pelo preço injustificável. Pareceu que estava em uma cidade fantasma. Não se hospede aqui se for durante a semana ou na baixa estação. Os espaços da pousada são muito bons, mas ninguém serve algo, não há opção de lanche, almoço, jantar ou drinks. Os funcionários não sabem qualquer informação útil de passeios, inclusive os básicos, embora sejam simpáticos quando são encontrados. Os mesmos ficam deitados nos sofás relaxando o que ressalta ainda mais a falta de uma gerência que lhes instrua no serviço. I was traveling by myself throughout Mato Grosso, and coming from Pantanal had a chance to stay a couple nights at the Chapada dos Guimarães. I chose this pousada through bookings and relied on property photos. There is one with a glass of wine by a fireplace which had a huge influence in my decision. What a scam... I arrived just before 2pm (check-in is at 3pm) hungry and thirsty planning to have a glass of Chardonnay while I could wait for a snack or somente to eat. For my surprise: no food is available besides breakfast, no wine or drinks because the bar was closed during the day, and should open at 6pm. I relaxed and went to town to have a bite hoping to have a drink at the fireplace latter that evening. However, the employees that handle the kitchen and bar had a personal issue and never showed up. I had dinner at a pizza place in town which was great but will definitely nit come back to this pousada, especially during weekdays or low season. Some specifics: - the facilities and structure are really good. - the room is quite nice with brand new furniture - service is very poor and there is no management - none at the pousada could recommend a place to eat out or had accurate information about sightseeing or tours

Fine day trip

We enjoyed the view and the small hiking trail at first which is beautiful, but nothing different compared to what you can see on pretty much all other view points in and around the national park. Then we had some drinks at the pool and chilled out in the sun. Drinks were fairly prices and of good quality.

Excellent choice for trekking
Reviewed By mrchrisk76I stayed at this pousada for 5 nights / 4 days, which was great to see the main attractions of Chapada dos Guimarães. I highly recommend this pousada and was very satisfied with everything. The rooms are modern and very clean, with fast WiFi connection. Bathrooms and showers work fine. And breakfast was great, much better than expected, with many delicious options. The pousada is located a little bit outside the main town square, maybe a 10 minute walk, which I did every night without any problems or security concerns at all. Highly recommended overall!

Breakfast was good, with a choice of freshly cooked eggs, cheeses, ham and fruits. You could even have their home made cachaça if you liked!! I had a shot on arrival! Gi and Marcio are super friendly and informative about the area. There’s parking available onsite and on the quiet street outside. We enjoyed staying here on our visit to Chapada.

The Lodge is strategically located on the borders of the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park, houses 500 hectares of private reserve, 2 water falls ( from Dec. to Jul ), amazing outlook over the entire park from our observation Tower, and several well prepared trails for the enjoyment of the most demanding nature lovers.
A good experience
Reviewed By Cristiane MThe location is good although we have to drive through a not paved road for about 5 km. The place is charming but the rooms have no windows and the bathroom wasn't so clean. Most of the people who work there are lovely, friendly and helpful. But some do need some more training , like some of the breakfast girls. The breakfast is supposed to be 7:30 but it was never ready at 7:30 and always missing something: plates, butter....The food is amazing, congratulations chef! Not everyone wears masks and no gloves in the restaurant. In conclusion it was a nice experience. We could relax and had some adventure too.

A day isn't enough
Reviewed By Chip SJust a quick review while I enjoy my breakfast on the porch of my lovely little cabin outside the National Park at Chapada dos Guimaraes. I stumbled on this place by accident, as I was late making arrangements for my stay in the area. I thought I was paying a bit much for a room. What I got was a cabin with beds enough for 6, a full kitchen, AC etc. It's just 200 m off the main highway, 1 km from the charming little town centre and 10 km from the park entrance. The family that runs the spot is very, very nice and even though I don't speak Portuguese, we understood each other. This was important when the glass cover on the stove shattered, leaving glass all over my cabin. You can stay in town, but why? Sleep with the chickens and the charm here

Accommodation comprises a row of four self-contained rooms with bathrooms situated in the heart of thick woodland. Decor is sparse but adequate, with a certain charm. Home cooked tasty meals, including home baked German style bread, are taken in the semi open dining area overlooking the valley below. This is an ideal place for birders to stay as the birdlife in the woods that surround the lodge is stunning.

An amazing little hotel in the heart of Brazil
Reviewed By AmericanoidAttention to detail. the gardens are well tended and gorgeous. Each room tastefully decorated. Air conditioned. Breakfast fresh and abundant customized to the guests wishes. The owners love attention to detail and local history - perfect place to have as home base to visit Chapada dos Guimarães. The only inconvinience was that after a whole day sightseeing, climbing, and swimming the kitchen was closed... so we had to go out for dinner. Loved the experience.
