Reviewed By joansY621TLWelcomed like family in this small but excellently appointed hotel. Each room was different, with special features. Mine had a carved wood ceiling and small tiled accents. Small shop with local art, food and crafts. Rooftop restaurant served a great breakfast, complete with eggs cooked to order, real juice, fruits and a variety of breads. Location is very convenient to downtown promenade, riverwalk and historic neighborhoods.

Hotel Restaurant Klea is a very nice hotel situated in the Castle of Berat, 40 meters from the main castle gate. The hotel is housed inside a former traditional house in the Castle. Here you will be able to find the true spirit of a Berat traditional experience. This is our first year of business. The rooms are entirely new combining the traditional elements with a comfortable stay. Welcome to our Hotel!! We offer a restaurant with a rich menu and traditional Berat dishes. In our hotel you will be able to find complete quietness, private parking, air conditioner and internet wireless. The hotel offers a wonderful view of the city of Berat. You will be able to contemplate the city of Berat among the gracefulness of historic buildings and ancient castle walls.

Reviewed By kelviWe stayed here for one night in May 2022 and it was a great choice. The hotel is located inside the castle and has a great entrance leading upto it. Xenofon, the host is very friendly and got us settled right away - Suggested we visit the Onufri Museum while the room was setup. We came back to have some delicious lunch in the very pretty rose garden . Food was wonderful - our first introduction to traditional Albanian Cuisine which we loved. The room was great - clean room , clean bathroom , great hot water. Staying inside the castle has it's advantages - like seeing the viewpoint at night - it was better than the day time view ! Breakfast was sumptuous , again my first introduction to Caj Mali which became an obsession for me during the trip. Great location, Great host, Great food - will recommend!

The bathroom was spacious with good water pressure. The room and all facilities are very clean, modern, and well maintained. Andy, the owner, is so friendly and accommodating. The view out or window was breathtaking, and in the heart of all the best parts of Barat. In addition, the breakfast that is included is made to order, and also includes great coffee, pastries, fresh fruit, and cheeses.

Charming guesthouse owned by a warm welcoming family
Reviewed By IngaL347We bumped into this lovely guesthouse and garden, by wandering through the authentic streets of Berat. Attracted by the beautiful garden, with grape plants, we were welcomed by the owner Lorenc to have some home made wine. Lorenc is running this guesthouse together with his family since many years. During our drinks, we talked about things in life, Albania and politics. You noticed quickly that holding this guesthouse together with his family and meeting people from all over the world is something he cares about a lot! Everything he does for the guests, seems to come from the heart :-) Not only we had a great conversation, we listed to him singing and playing on the guitar and after he showed us the charming 400y old house. The guesthouse feels like home, with such a warm family and experience!

Fabulous Berat!
Reviewed By JellyBoggThe accommodation is beautifully located, it’s verdant terrace overlooking the river Osum and perfectly positioned for access to local attractions such as the castle, popular promenade, restaurants and bars. The property has been recently renovated with incredible attention to detail and a wonderful sympathy for local traditions. Each space and room brims with details and artefacts that immerse the guest in Berat, its history and culture. But that’s not the best of it. The staff are truly incredible. From the moment we arrived we were treated like long lost family members, greeted by the owner with fruit, raki and water, which was welcome after the walk up the steep, stone path to the hotel’s door, which is only accessible on foot and hidden in the warren of tiny ramshackle hillside pathways. Although there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area, I strongly recommend eating at the hotel itself. Order a beer and a platter of fruit or cheese and cold meats and you will not be disappointed as you enjoy a feast fit for kings and queens while you watch the sun set over the valley and streetlights bring new life to the town. I also strongly recommend planning at least one empty morning during a stay at Hani I Xheblatit, you will need at least a couple of hours to fully enjoy their magnificent breakfasts of fruit, yoghurt, cheese, wraps, omelettes, tea coffee and juice which are ample to cover breakfast, lunch and keep even the most active going until dinner. Hani I Xheblatit is exceptional, perfectly positioned, delightfully comfortable and wonderfully run.

Reviewed By Niek vFantastic hospitality, the husband of lili gave us a warm welcome and invited us to have a few homemade wines and raki with him. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast was just amazing.. maybe a little to much aswell ? (see the picture) The guest house is only 200 meters walk from the city center.
