Everything was really wonderful - gorgeous, stylish, and comfortable accommodations, fabulous food and drink, great music, gorgeous scenery, friendly and attentive staff - it was all perfection. My husband and I wanted to spend our time at KA BRU relaxing, reading, and unwinding. You can definitely do as much, or as little, as you would like. We did do some paddle boarding a few days, and we checked out Barra Grande and walked the beaches. However, we were so in love with the food at KA BRU, that we chose not to eat elsewhere, which we somewhat regret, but seriously - the food was so delicious at KA BRU and it was so easy to take the few steps from our room to the dining table in the evening. Breakfast each morning was insane - SO MUCH food and all of it fantastic and beautifully presented. We did not need any type of lunch because the breakfasts certainly tied us over every day until dinner. Our Portuguese is very minimal - verging on non-existent - and we were able to communicate without issue with the staff .My husband and I have nothing but wonderful memories of KA BRU and the staff (and also the dogs we fell in love with!).

Reviewed By ilazaroyWe had an absolutely great stay at the Pousada Bambu Dourado, the hosts Renato and Bea were very welcoming, they made us feel at home for the whole stay. We even had the chance to take a boat ride with them and other guests of the Pousada to a lovely waterfall not far from Barra Grande (Cachoeira do Tremembé) where we had a great time jumping and swimming inside the natural pools of the waterfall, and had an authentic lunch of pitu shrimps, fish, rice, palmito etc.. The beach near the Pousada is beautiful and there's an option to rent ATVs for the day and visit even better beaches not far from the Pousada. The breakfasts really hit the spot in the morning, good coffee, fruit and pastries. All in all we had an amazing time in the pousada, it was relaxing and beautiful, and we had the pleasure of hanging out with Renato and Bea a couple of evenings there. Very recommended!

Reviewed By Rita SIf you are on a tight budget and not too concerned with the space and finish of your surroundings this is good value But if low cost hostels are not your usual selection and you got seduced by the ethos, the good price and what appeared to be a super cute, white, fresh, cared for (superior) suite this is No longer the case. The walls are not white but either a fading pale pink or yellowy, other mismatching beds have been cramped into the rooms, the brightly coloured bahian fabrics are fading, the paint and space is tired. (i wish i had taken photos but was so sad about it that just spent little time there and cut our stay short). There's no glass on the windows so once you need to close them to avoid mosquitos you're out of daylight and left with a white bare bulb and your yellow walls. Staff was attentive but it was a disappointing choice as the pictures no longer represent the reality. A pity.

Reviewed By wanderlust_tamAmazing hotel in a beautiful location right by Ponta do Mutá! Beautiful beach and sunset view! Room was very comfortable, however we did not pay attention to the fact that there’s no ac in the room (only 2 of their 5 rooms have ACs) and Barra Grande is a very humid place so it was missed specially after taking a shower and getting ready without sweating, however Fabio saved us by lending an extra fan and we were able to sleep with no trouble. The beds we very comfortable as well. We also did not notice that they do not offer fridges in the rooms and we had to use the kitchen’s fridge which closes at 10pm . Apart from that, the experience mas amazing. The place is beautiful and we love the Breakfast which was delicious with homemade bread made by Ingrid. Special thanks to Ingrid, Fabio and Milena -who helped us organize all our tours around the region! We recommend you get the room with the ac, just to guarantee a perfect stay!

Our pousada is a completely new structure situated 150 m from the beach and 250 m from Barra Grande village centre. Details care, staff courtesy, hospitality and constant regard to our guests’ needs are our priorities.The swimming pool is at your disposition for relaxing;the kiosk, for sip a cocktail prepared by our staff.The evening also will have the opportunity to relax and listen to background music.Every morning breakfast will be served in the restaurant area where the taste of traditional Brazilian and Italian dishes will be savoured for dinner as well.
