Reviewed By Morten HThe Clarion Collection Hotel Bristol was centrally located in the heart of Arvika, within walking distance of the city's shops and restaurants. The guest room was clean but simply furnished and consisted of an armchair, work table and chair and beds. There was no minibar, kettle or air conditioning in the room. The TV in the room was small and looked like something old-fashioned. There was some noise from the street. The cleanliness seemed to be good. The bathroom had underfloor heating but was simply decorated. A loose soap bottle from the soap dispenser lay on the sink and gave a somewhat bad first impression. There were no free toiletries. The hotel's common area appeared to be somewhat worn and the hotel could with advantage have been renovated. There was free wireless internet throughout the hotel, but we found the speed of the network to be somewhat variable. The hotel had a bar and restaurant. Free supper was served to hotel guests. The meal consisted of a hot dish and a salad buffet. The food appeared to be somewhat boring, but was still experienced as a positive gesture. The hotel's breakfast was served as a buffet with a selection of both hot and cold dishes. However, the selection could have been a bit better and I missed several local and homemade products. The breakfast room appeared small and there were quick queues in the buffet area. The staff seemed uninvolved and I missed more enthusiasm and interest in the guests.

On arriving at the hotel we were informed that the restaurant was busy but they would make room for us. That was nice. After waiting for some time and no one even coming to ask if we would like a drink let alone take an order we decided that we were so tired that waiting for as long as it was obviously going to take was not an option when were where so tired and had an early start next day that we would leave without dinner. As a Top Floor member I have never done this before. We thought we would get a sandwich from the Scandic shop. Not an option nothing to buy from the shop. So bed it was and a Kr 150 voucher that was useless. Wasn't given the option of points when checking in. We spend 3 months of the year away from home working and have been choosing Scandic because we often have long days and just want something quick at night. After having supported Scandic with many of my hotel stays over the past 2 years I was disapointed with the treatment at Arvika.

Reviewed By Satu802We spent one night in Arvika. Jenny’s hotel is cosy and warm hotel. They informed us in advanced very well. They had free parking place and customer service was nice. Location is great - near everything due to Arvika is pretty small town.

Reviewed By erikl996Amazing hospitable Dutch owners have made it their mission to have an great stay. Extremely clean rooms, I've never seen a bathroom more clean than this. Nicely decorated, self renovated, old school buidling. Spacious, high ceiling rooms, with comfy beds and lake view. They have cracked the covid-breakfast dillema by offering 4 types of breakfast, being served at your table: Swedish, French, English or Healthy. Nice restaurant/bar and sundeck outside. In the evening there's a great service offering a choice for everybody, even vegan. I've read some remarks about the road, which I'd like to comment on. Yes there is a road quit close by, and you will hear cars passing. Currently a bit more traffic due to road works at the main road 61, which drivers try to avoid by taking this one. But at night it was quit and we were not to bothered about it. Hopefully this will be sorted soon. Worth knowing there's no direct access to the lake, but there is one just 5 minutes drive away. However they will also direct you to a great bathing spot 10-15 minutes away in a suberb litte lake with a beach. The owners offer great outdoor activities. We've really enjoyed our stay, great value for money and warmly recommend this place. We're looking forward to return to this gem!

In the centre of Arvika you will find this newly built accommodation with 54 beds divided between 13 rooms. And 3 floors. With toilet facilities on all floors, a shower room on the 1st floor, a large, pleasant kitchen where you can prepare your meals or heat food in the microwave, free Wi-Fi throughout the building and cable TV in rooms with both movie and sports channels. You can park free of charge in Scandic’s car park subject to availability and there is also ample parking in the area around the hostel. Check-out cleaning is included in the price of your room. You check in and out at Scandic Arvika, where you are also warmly welcome to enjoy good food and evening drinks at any of the hotel restaurants. Bedding is mandatory at the hostel – you can choose it as an option when you book your room or bring your own bedding with you. Animals are not permitted in the hostel. There is a lift.

Speciellt ställe ute i ingenstans
Reviewed By EnemalmVi hamnade här en natt i juli. Det är ett stort vitt hus i ett gammalt samhälle där övervåningen är vandrarhem. Rummen var rymliga och vackert inredda. Stora, sköna sängar! Det stora gemensamma utrymmet var fyllt av gamla, tunga möbler som jag tror var till salu. I övrigt var huset lite sorgligt att se, eftersom det tycks ha renoverats sönder helt okänsligt av någon på 70-talet. Det var plastgolv i den gamla trappan, fult målade väggar och riktigt trist pentry och gemensamt badrum. Frukosten var trevlig med bröd, pålägg och mjölk och flingor. Det enda var, att den bara serverades under en timme, vilket inte gjorde oss något, men kanske lite tråkigt för den som ville sova ut under semestern. Egentligen ett rätt ok ställe, men priset var för högt för det man betalade, med rum utan toalett och dusch, och slitet hus.

Reviewed By Anders EArkaden is centrally located and easy to find. The room was nice and clean and the beds very good. The breakfast was plenty full and the staff nice and handsome. This is an ordinary hotel with good comfortable feeling.
