Reviewed By Maya BBased on trust and simplicity, this hostel has 4 lovely little bedrooms with shared kitchen and bathroom. Everything is new and well maintained. The decoration is perfect for meditation. There's a prayer room and a cheap café /restaurant. You can meet the priest and the manager is absolutely helpful. Perfect when on a spiritual path or trip.

Way too expensive and useless non-existing service
Reviewed By John19091975Maybe the worst experience ever? Tried to get an early check in - that was impossible - even though the place was full with personnel due to several parties. Paid 840 for a room, with nothing. Linen was extra, breakfast was extra - and we then - too late I agree - found out breakfast was from 8-9 and we came 9:15, there was nothing!!! Nothing at all - at we couldn’t get a refund. We will definitely NEVER go back to this place

Les moins : - Odeur d’humidité désagréable. - Chambre et bâtiments vieillots. - Linge de lit et serviettes de toilette : attention, bien penser à les réserver à l’avance.

Great spot for an evening during a long distance trip
Reviewed By Nick752Arrived earlier than we had planned but staff were helpful in settling us in. Lovely spacious hostel - signage could be a little better. A reasonable walk down to the centre of town for some reasonable restaurants and nice views over the old castle and harbour

Reviewed By PastaPenneMan tænker tilbage på lejrskoler i 80’er. Der er vist heller ikke gjort noget ved stedet siden da..... Dyner og puder slidte og lidt klamme. Ligeledes værelset med en masse stankelben. Servicen er helt i top - de er rigtig søde. Værelserne er dog out-datede og ikke særlig rare at sove i.

Aviaja the great!
Reviewed By LittleFlower90We had such a lovely stay at Danhostel Faxe. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. Aviaja was such a delight and made our short trip to Faxe so much better for probably being one of the nicest and happiest people I have ever come across when staying or visiting anywhere. She really did make us feel special. Due to being late for an appointment the following day we didn’t have time to get out of our room so asked if we could come back which was no problem, and when we had seen the breakfast had been laid out and how amazing it looked we asked if it would be okay if we could come back for it later and Aviaja said it would be no problem, and true to her word, when we arrived back maybe 2/3hours later, everything was there waiting for us(in the fridge of course) and she guided us towards the breakfast room to ensure everything was perfect! Faxe itself is a very VERY quiet little town and everything is closed by 9PM, but I really would recommend Danhostel Faxe, and if ever I am back in Denmark I will go back there simply because of how nice and accommodating Aviaja and the other staff had been to us. We really did appreciate it and I wish you all the very best in the future. ????

Friendly Hostel , Great Staff, Lovely Town
Reviewed By PairADoxCycleOff the beaten track but you can go to the Centrum and Strand by bike in ten minutes . Staff was very pleasant, spoke English very well . Beds were comfortable and with trundle bed we had a lovely double bed . Bathroom was basic but clean . Can not understand why the shower enclosures do not have a bottom curb to hold the water within the shower enclosure but throughout Denmark they do not . Quite messy , wet and disturbing . Room was quite large with en-suite bathroom . Breakfast also was basic but had a number of choices that were good . Warm rolls make the breakfast complete . Made us feel at home . Bike storage was undercover.

Reviewed By Rajani TWe need to carry our own pillow cover, bedsheet and covers otherwise they ll charge for it. Bestbast is costly and der is a option to make our own breakfast without any money to pay. Bus facility is rare.
