Lovely hostel

Reviewed By G7078PLsophies

More SP Hostel was my first hostel here in Brasil and I am glad that I chose this one. The female dorm is very nice, many people are so warm and welcoming. Every guest has access to the terrace where also the kitchen is located and to the bar where they serve free Caipirinha every evening. Special thanks to Davi, the bartender, to Jacqui, to Camilo and to Maria, for making my arrival to Brasil so special.

Well Run, Great Value!

Was my first time in Sao Paulo. Great choice in the Vila Mariana neighbourhood. Warm welcome. Well run. Special Thank You to everyone at the front desk who kept an eye out for my delayed luggage delivery! I had a private room and it was clean and comfortable. Personally I found the smell of the cleaning supplies strong for my nose. Needed to keep windows open to vent it out. Breakfast was great. The ladies who cook it are friendly and cheerful! Pleasant courtyard to eat and relax in. Great bakery and small restaurants nearby. Short walk back to the metro station with easy access to the rest of the city. I had issues connecting with the Whatsapp number of their driver as I wanted to book airport pick up and transport. Ended up taking the new airport train and metro and it was fine.

Tiny place in a dodgy area

Reviewed By peshovuchev

Stayed there during the World Cup for just one night for a game in Sao Paulo. Booked it as the place seemed to be with very central location, but the street was very dodgy, especially when it got dark. Despite being very high, the hotel is very small with tiny reception and rooms. The lifts are just 2 and very very slow, not both go to all floors. The room was clean and looked refurbished, but was really small. At the reception the staff was friendly, but very slow. The breakfast below average.

Everything! Room was very comfort and bright and bathroom nice and clean. There is safe deposit in the room. Receptionists are very polite and helpful despite the fact they don't speak English. Area around hotel is like zombieland but if you do not plan go out at night, this hotel is good choice.

Worst hostel in the world

Reviewed By juan m

My macbook was stolen in the room that I was staying. I put it inside the box in my bed with a lock, I must clarify that I put it there because there are just 4 safe lockers for 8 beds, and when I came back I found out that not only the lock but all the security system of the box was broken and my Macbook wasn’t there. When I reached out the employees of the hostel, gave 0 priority on this. In fact I talked to the manager and he told me that he wasn’t able to help me that day, but the next day. And the next day he said that he was going to report it, and I didn't receive further information about it. There is 0 initiative from Selina to solve the problem and compensate for this, and they should, considering that it wasn't my fault as I didn't left the computer in a public place, but inside the tools Selina provide me to "save" my things, and it was locked.

Very nice and interesting staff, clean bathroom, well located. We were 12 persons in the dorm which was too many people in such a tiny room. We'd recommend the hostel for a quick visit but not in the dorm.

A home in São Paulo

Reviewed By Christopher Joh... H

Stayed here 3 nights with my partner in a private room. Couldn't recommend more. All the staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, especially Pedro and Tommy- felt like we'd arrived amongst friends! The room was clean and comfortable, and quiet and dark at night for a great sleep. The hostel has a good mix- enough going on to keep you busy if you want to party, and enough quiet time if you don't. The location is really good, a really nice neighbourhood full of cool bars, restaurants and shops (although it is a bit of a walk to the nearest metro station). Would 100% stay here again!
