Reviewed By 692piaaNice place just newt to the beach with nice ideas to make the guests enjoy the place. The place is clean and the staff is friendly too. The bar and restaurant is good with nice good and drinks and chill mood and would totally recommend for a stay in buzios.

Reviewed By Tim AThis place requires to have a scan of your passport. There's no law in Brazil requiring hotels to have passport scan and nowhere in Brazil I traveled they ask for passport scan. Their response: "We ask for passport scan for security" My reply: If NO other hostels or even hotels require this neither should you. In no way will I trust HOSTEL to securely store a copy of identity document that can be stolen. Big companies like yahoo and google invest millions in security and still get hacked. Would you trust a simple hostel to securely hold a copy of your most important identity document? I booked this place some time ahead and nowhere on their website there's a mention of this requirement. The desk girl even suggested to take a photo of my passport with her phone (of course phones never get stolen). I was upset and had to waste a lot of additional time to look for another hotel instead of enjoying vacation. Recommend avoiding this place until they remove this requirement.

Reviewed By TartanWandererYou cannot fault this pousada. From the minute you enter the cool reception area you are made to feel very welcome. Most of the staff do not speak English but they still make things easy for you and are lovely. My room was quiet, cool, clean and very nice. Comfy bed, superb bathroom, lots of clean white towels. Flat screen TV, great aircon, small fridge. Just perfect. the breakfasts are lovely and there is complimentary coffee and cake each afternoon. Cold drinks and beers can be bought throughout the day. the gardens are nice. there is a small pool and veranda area too. I'd love to come back for longer!

Reviewed By Yasmyn R(Better late than never! :) xxx) Fantastic hostel next to Geriba beach (good for surf) and really close to many other beaches in the area (esp great for snorkelling & kayaking). Spacious with nice garden area and HUGE kitchen for guests. Comfortable beds, storage and roomy dorms with air-con. The most friendly, fun and all-round lovely host Edu will make your stay extra special! He'll give you the best tips, sort you out with discounts, free beach chairs etc through his contacts and generally make sure you have everything you need for a happy stay. He's a chef too so hopefully you'll get a chance to try his amazing cooking one night :) Highly recommended. Perfect vibe.

We are locatted 3 blocks from the most important beach of Buzios, Geriba Beach, and 3 blocks from the main Avenue where you can take a taxi or a van to the other beaches of the Peninsula or to the Center, ATMs, supermarkets, snack houses and restaurants.

Small hotel very well located in Búzios - Rio de Janeiro, nearby the most popular street of the city, where the tourists go at night to eat, drink and have fun. Also is nearby a beach called Praia do Canto, only 3 minutes by foot.
Poor reception and deceptive business practice
Reviewed By offonvacationWe were driving up cost and decided to stay a night..we saw on booking for 75 real night. I couldn't book on website, for my internet wasn't working. We figured book in person and save them the booking fee. We get to the front desk and and ask the two guys at the front desk for availability for night and price. both guys literally were fumbling through paperwork under the desk below the desk inside the room outside the room. I asked if everything was all right they should know what trying to find the price for the room. So out of know where they shoot a price of 120 real. I explained to them I saw the room on booking 75 real night...they claim the computer wasn't working so after another 10 minutes of wasting my time I was able to get a Wi-Fi password and show them the price and then they eventually honored it. It seems to be a practice maybe it's about Brazil but especially in buzios they seem to size you up and see if they can get more money out of you which is a poor practice. the room was okay for a night or two but the bed was shot so uncomfortable the mattress and right through the wood the room was clean but not really thoroughly clean. They were no towels in the room so my wife went down to the front desk to find a guy on a phone discussing going out that night and what type of cologne he was going to use to meet some woman I mean really...he made wait 10 minutes for two towels. I guess in a pinch it's okay to stay for a night but I wouldn't go back there again the breakfast was very simple compared to other posadas I've been to.
