Amazing ride! We took a 2 hr sunset ride with Royce. We got to do a lot more on this trail ride than other ones we've done, like taking the horses through water and trotting. ( Even cantering once but I wasn't supposed to ???? ) I can't say enough good things about this ride! We will for sure be back!

After being to most of the backcountry /ski-in lodges in the Banff area, we decided to try Sundance Lodge. We were able to book the entire place for our own group of 20 friends - a feat very difficult to match at the better known ski-in lodges. It's a great 1-night getaway, since there isn't much in the way of XC trails extending from the lodge. Ski in one day (uphill, on a beautiful trail by the river, through the woods), cozy up by the wood stove, enjoy the good and ample food, have a comfortable sleepover (hot showers, indoor plumbing, great beds with linens provided) and then ski out downhill the next day. The staff were friendly and efficient, eager to help us with anything we needed (there is limited beer & wine for purchase at the lodge) and didn't mind when we stayed up very, very late. Highly recommended to go with a group or book on your own!
