My husband and I spent a day and a half with Ljuba--in both the Jewish quarter of Prague and at Terezin. Ljuba was fabulous. Not only is she extrememly knowledgeable, but her family is an integral part of what's remaining of the Jewish community of Prague, and therefore she has a perspective that other tour guides might not have. I highly recommend!

The Military Fortress built in the 18th century was converted into a concentration camp during World War II. The part called „Big Fortress“ became a ghetto-concentration camp for Jews, whereas the „Small Fortress“ was used as a Gestapo police prison. Terezin was not only a place of suffering but also a place of courage, self–sacrifice and the never ending struggle to save those who were destined to be victims of the Holocaust.

Theresienstadt, the concentration camp, also referred to as Theresienstadt Ghetto, was established by the SS during World War II in the fortress and garrison city of Terezín. During World War II it served as a Nazi concentration camp staffed by German Nazi guards. Tons of thousands of people died there, some killed outright and others dying from malnutrition and disease.  More than 150,000 other persons (including  tons of  thousands of children) were held there for months or years, before being sent by rail transports to their deaths at Treblinka and Auschwitz extermination camps in occupied Poland, as well as to smaller camps elsewhere. I will pick you up with a professional driver at 9am in a lobby of the hotel you are located in. It takes approximately an hour to get there. Entrance fees are included in this tour. After the tour we will have delicious Czech meal in a local small Terezín restaurant you enjoy.

Inclusions: Fuel surcharge, Bottled water, Driver/guide, Professional guide, Hotel pickup and drop-off, Transport by air-conditioned minivan, Landing and facility fees

Exclusions: Lunch is not included in this tour (available to buy)

Hands down just amazing!!! From the moment I booked the communication with the Tour company was outstanding. Peter(the driver) picked me up at the airport and we drove to meet Kevin (the tour guide) at the castle. They both took the time to answer all my questions and explained the rich history of Prague. The tour was truly tailored for me (including the bathroom runs ????). I 100% recommend Kevin and Peter. I was able to see alot in the little time I had available. So if you have limited time this is the way to go. One last thing as a solo female traveler safety is always a concern of mine, I felt safe at all times. P.S. Viator. Peter and Kevin are a power team!
