We love this beautiful golf course. It’s well-maintained with thick turf and forgiving wide fairways. The masked staff is courteous and helpful. There is covered parking close-by to help shield your car from the baking hot sun. Water hazard is a challenge at several holes, e.g. 5, 9, 13 and 18. The more prominent features are the prevalent sand traps, many quite deep, flanking the greens and along the way. This is a great place to practice getting out of bunker shots, for inevitably you will end up in one (because of COVID, raking after is not necessary). Speaking of bunkers we enjoyed the breakfast wraps served at the aptly-named Bunkers. We will definitely be back.

We played the Palms course 5 years ago and at that time I gave it a 5 star rating and a glowing review. I must say that after playing it this week I feel even more compelled to sing the praises of this golf course. I played several courses in the area including some that were less expensive and some that were very expensive and I must say that the Palms course at the Marriott is hands down my favourite. It is in impeccable condition, it is challenging for a low handicap yet forgiving enough for an average golfer. It is beautifully presented, visually stunning and a fair test of golf. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. A great experience! I highly recommend this golf course.

What a find! We went in around 2 p.m. and got right on for 9 holes. The special rate after 2 p.m. was $35.00 with a cart and a voucher for each of us to have a drink after. You can’t beat that! The couse is in excellent shape. The fairways are wide and there are beautiful views of the mountains. We were surprised that the course is lined with small, dated houses since the course was so well-maintained and the clubhouse was nice inside. We will definitely play again when we return to the greater Palm Springs area.

Woodhaven Country Club

Welcome to Woodhaven Country Club, a public golf course and one of the friendliest places in the Palm Springs Area and Coachella Valley. Located in the heart of Palm Desert, Woodhaven has something to offer everyone. From the plush fairways and finely manicured greens to the pristine lakes and gorgeous waterfalls, it’s no wonder so many people have enjoyed calling this place home. With rounds of golf that typically take less than four hours, there is no doubt Woodhaven is a “MUST PLAY” while in the Coachella Valley.

This is a golf course with generally wide fairways and for a 20 handicapper like myself I found it forgiving. Hole number 6 is a fun 115 yard par three where you have a great opportunity to hit into or over the water hazard but your best hit will make it! We went out at 3.20 with the goal of completing the front 9 which the four of us managed to do by 6.00 pm just as dusk closed in. Woodhaven Country Club Golf Course is beautifully maintained and provides a quality experience. Our fee in late February was $35.00 which I thought was great value. We planned to return the following week.
