Donnybrook Country Club

We played 18 at this nice course. Very scenic and well maintained for the most part. The yard markers were laying on the ground at some holes so you had to guess a lot. Probably the time of year but when you walked on the greens you would leave black foot prints and it stunk around the greens. I actually think they were sprayed with liquid manure, but it could have been another type of fertilizer. The course lay out is really nice with some interesting tee boxes over valleys. Will play again when in the area.

Farm Neck Golf Club

Semi-private golf course where President Bill Clinton has played.

This course has been on my bucket list since we booked our trip to Martha’s Vineyard. It is a beautiful course that plays well and is very scenic with some great views. The greens ran fast and true and were in great shape. The personnel from check in to cleaning our clubs after we’re very friendly and helpful. Very nice driving range and the GPS in the carts helped us out as it was our first time here. My favorite round of the year. Thank you Farm Neck Golf Club.

Sunday morning my husband surprises me with a stop at Granite Links clubhouse-The Tavern for Brunch. Well it is set high above the area and over looks the Boston skyline. It was a brisk 9 degrees with the a windchill take brought it to below zero. The club house is lovely and the Tavern well designed. We asked for a table near the window so we could overlook Boston. The brunch was a special menu with all the usual breakfast fair. The food was good and the staff very nice. We want to go back for dinner.

The Frost Bar at Oceans Edge is just awesome! It was 32 degrees outside/ gale force winds and we were toasty warm. Our Waiter Brian was terrific he deserves a raise in these conditions going back and forth outside / inside ! He made our experience very enjoyable ! The food was pricey but yummy. The food just made the overall experience even better. Soup would of been nice - clam chowder ???? It was clean and just fun! If you are looking for something different well worth it ! The two teens we brought thought is was awesome!

My wife and I play The Captain's courses as often as we can. The facility is very well maintained, the staff is quite helpful and the players are always friendly. They seem to have mastered pacing the 4-somes and the rangers keep things moving at a very good pace. Both courses are fun with Port being a tougher track. My wife's only possible negative comment is that when we play as a couple we rarely get paired with another couple.
