Lovely coffee shop, nice coffee (will add to out list of global favourites!) and the food was tasty - the ricotta/spinach roll and veggie frittata were excellent. Love the coffee cups also - modern, quirky to some degree with an interesting 'history' Great place, had a wonderful breakfast in the autumn sun.

What a pleasant surprise to visit Patchwork on Avon - a treasure trove for lovers of craft and sewing. I bought some lovely cotton silk yarn and rang Carol the owner to buy some more at a later date. She was extremely helpful with colour choice and the amount of yarn I would need for my project. The yarn arrived five days later. Jane

Lovely ice creams and the place is surrounded by wildflowers on the side of the dirt roads leading in. There is a playground with a couple of flying foxes, and some shady places to sit down and devour those great ice creams just bought, so has it all! Friendly gent - I think it was Arnaud - behind the counter was inundated with customers but kept his cool. Well done! And can I have another tub of pistachio icecream please?

All four of us loved this space for all that it says about York and what the owners want for the community, not only as a space for their neighbours but for visitors looking for a stop that’s a little special. LOCAL MASTERPIECES We love going on the hunt for pieces and gifts that are created by talented locals and this place did not disappoint! Not only did we get to meet one of the local talents Genie, but we managed to find some lovely pieces including jewellery, home decor and a gorgeous candle all created by York locals. VINTAGE We’re in to all things collectable and the collection of vintage goodies is extensive; beautifully presented and all have solid but not exorbitant price tags. The only disappointment was that after a week on the road holidaying we had absolutely no room in the car to get pieces home. The only option would have been to make the kids walked back to Mandurah, so we’re planning to head back with an empty boot next time! THE FUTURE We remember visiting many moons ago when this AMAZEBALLS building was in JahRoc mode, and it would be amazing to see those top floors being used as they once were. We get that the the public would need to miss out on hanging in these upper zones, but it would be so cool if those spaces could maybe be artists in residence zones for them to get their creative vibe on!
