The 10 Best Gift & Specialty Shops in Provincetown, Massachusetts (MA)

August 14, 2021 Nobuko Falco

Visit Provincetown and have a blast enjoying some of Cape Cod’s best beaches (Race Point Beach and Herring Cove Beach are favorites of TripAdvisor travelers). Plenty of cool boutiques, restaurants and art galleries give this town a fun and funky vibe. It’s an exceptionally LGBT-friendly destination as well. One tip: if it’s high season, take the ferry or a quick flight from Boston (unless you enjoy spending hours sitting in traffic).

Adam's Nest

Adam's Nest is politically engaged, socially conscious, spiritually connected, & a bit naughty. We are queer and visible. We offer a curated selection of queer art from around the globe, exclusive apparel that supports a variety of charities, hand made jewelry, & whatnot! We have been called warm, inviting, & a bit naughty; we would concur. We call Provincetown our happy place. Our Provincetown shop operates seasonally; open by Memorial Day weekend at the end of May through Halloween. You can shop online year round.

Adam's Nest was the perfect place to shop on my Provincetown vacation. Located right next to Wired Puppy on Commercial Street, I was able to find unique shirts, interesting books, funny pins, and look at some amazing art that I hadn't seen anywhere else. The place is small, welcoming, and definitely has that groovy PTown vibe that makes stopping in here memorable. I bought a shirt for a friend who is still thanking me for it months later, so I know I'll also be visiting the year-round website to get more. Adam, the owner, is really welcoming and has a lot of great info about how to get most from visiting the town. This store is a refreshing addition to the usual shopping stops on Commercial Street, can't wait to go back!
