This store is a find. For the quality and workmanship you get, the prices are very reasonable. I bought 2 pair of leather gloves that were butter soft. Gorgeous. You won't be sorry if you buy anything from here. The goods in the leather markets are often not local and not real leather. Caveat Emptor!

On a recent trip to Tuscany I wanted to take a pasta making class. I had researched classes in the Tavarenelle area and Vilma got all the stars through Trip Advisor. Four of us went and were so surprised. It was a one on one class for about two hours. Vilma was a joy! We watched her make the dough kneading it to the right consistency then we rolled it out and made five types of pasta: ravioli, tortellini, tortelloni, bowties and one other, all of which you could cook and eat there or take out uncooked. We opted for the takeout because we had four mouths to feed for lunch (it was over turn). Vilma is a wonderful teacher and a very personable person. Do go and enjoy, it is well worth it! I would definitely do this the next time in Tuscany, I feel I made a new Italian friend!

After finding the same manufactured ceramic pieces in every store in Italy years ago, I was thrilled to find the little, unique workshop of M. G. Design, close to the Duomo, Uffizi, and Santa Croce, with one-of-a-kind ceramic artwork! I made a point to go there again when I was able to visit Florence a second time a few years later, and recently purchased these gorgeous Tuscan landscape items online! I highly recommend her work. So beautiful and unique!

Noi Leather Firenze

One of the best shopping experiences in Italy so far on our first week here my wife, 8 year old daughter and me had this store figured on the list before reaching Florence and were very happy to see the overall store and the owners taking so much personal Interest to get you the most suitable product. No pressure to buy and also the right kind of advise. They made my daughter feel special and guess what she was super happy after the experience - am Sure she will grow up remembering this shop and going back ????! The prices are not very low but you pay for quality and there is a section of discounts for both men and women but you need to be lucky to find your item in that section. Bags and leather jackets are available in abundant choice and quite clearly very very authentic. Thanks NOI for a great experience though we were really short on time.

La Galleria Nuove Forme d'Arte

The gallery has been operating for about 30 years in the production of artistic ceramics and as 700 years ago, only creates ceramics made and hand painted. This shop is a little jewel in the commercial landscape of Montelupo. The owner Salvatore Mirenda, creates objects with the ancient technique of the lathe, the activity that takes place over 35 years, after he inherited from his father Sebastian, a master potter. Salvatore continues the family tradition of working with clay, enriching it with new shapes and decorations. Our production is not limited to the reproduction of classical works, but adds that touch of creativity, originality and quality that distinguishes our work. The gallery offers the opportunity 'to order and buy directly from the factory or via email.

I phoned a few times to tell them that I would be arriving by car and inquire if in the aftermath of the Christmas week that the store would be open. Elisabetta, the owner, assured me that they would be open. And they were. Upon arrival, I am met by Elisabetta and her son Matteo whose eyes grew wider and their smiles peaked when I entered with my partner. They asked us the right questions, showed us the creations both live and on the computer that we would consider. They will custom any size, color, shape. It was a pleasure to work with them both. We ordered a 60 cm. round plate for over our fireplace. It will be created, fired, painted and glazed by expert craftspeople in the next few weeks. Wow! What great service! Would I visit and buy from them again? Yes and with no hesitations. Would I recommend them to others? Yes of course!

I wandered into this shop while exploring the many shops in the area. It was just wonderful! The leather goods were beautifully presented and clearly of high quality, there was soft, Baroque music (my favourite) playing and my husband and I were greeted warmly by the shop owner. She told us about the building and the handmade products, even inviting us to take a look at the work shop where someone was hard at work making a style of bag I had been admiring. After several more visits I ended up buying the very bag I had seen being made. My husband also purchased a belt which was fitted especially for him. Special souvenirs of this wonderful store and of our time in Florence.
