If you are looking for a gift for a friend or wanting to buy a nice souvenir for yourself Cassandra Shaw's shop has the perfect gift for you. I have been buying my gifts and personal jewelry from her for years. In fact that is the only jewelry store I shop at. The service is impeccable, they all are very professional, giving you their honest opinion on what looks best on you, is it the right color, is it the right size, etc. It is located in the heart of Old Town, the most happening place in Puerto Vallarta. They will even offer you a glass of wine while you are shopping. The shop is located on Basillio Badillo 276, South side of town. By the way, she is a gifted painter and has much of her art work for sale, I also have several of her painting in my home. Don't go to Vallarta without stopping at her shop, you won't regret it.

Very satisfied with the quality of the service. Will definitely be back! The complimentary Mojito was so delicious! If you are staying a bit too far to walk, the spa might be able to arrange a pick up - drop off service. Enjoy ladies!!!!

Workshop of Jacobo and Maria Angeles

We are producers of Zapotec figures carved in wood called "tonas" and "nahuales" known worldwide as alebrijes. We use Mixtec-Zapotec iconography on our pieces in a unique style that we have been able to develop over the years. This is born from a deep appreciation of our origins. Our goal is to make known our Zapotec culture based on the high quality figures we create.

Reviewed By 497crisf - Washington DC, United States

We took the public bus to Tilcajete's road junction where we transfered a moto-taxi to the workshop. The pottery is beautiful and seeing how it is made was very interesting. We walked back through the interesting country town and then had lunch at a nice restaurant on the main highway.

I love how Santiago explains how he picks the stones and how he makes each piece. If I need a different clasp or a different bead color, he will make it for me. He is a very kind, honest man.
