The 10 Best Fun Activities & Games in Gran Via, Community of Madrid

May 7, 2022 Yuk Petri

So many of Madrid’s buildings look like castles, you’ll think you’ve stumbled into a fairytale. Even City Hall is astounding, with its white pinnacles and neo-Gothic features. A self-guided architecture tour can begin by the great bear statue in the central Puerta del Sol. Wander by the fanciful Royal Palace before absorbing the natural beauty of Retiro Park, then visit one of the city’s many museums. You could happily cap off each day by nibbling on forkfuls of paella while sipping Spanish rioja.

The X-Door Madrid Gran Via

The X-Door MADRID is a "live" escape game in Madrid, one of the best things to do in Madrid. A new and unique way of fun and entertainment in Madrid, totally different to anything else. If you are from abroad and you don't speak Spanish, no need to worry. You do not need to know Spanish to play. Form a team of 2 to 6 persons and come and play (BOOKING REQUIRED). We have full AIR CONDITIONING. We will lock you inside a room, we will start a countdown and you will have 60 minutes to find the way to escape. Cool, huh?. During sixty minutes you will have to search every spot of the room to find specific objects and clues, and you will be faced with many riddles, conundrums and puzzles that you must solve by working as a team and using your ingenuity and imagination. You do not need to be The Incredible Hulk or Spiderman to play. At The X-Door, physical strength or ability are not necessary. Due to the intellectual level of the enigmas, in principle it is a game for people over 16 years of age, with no age limit, but we will be glad to welcome you and your younger kids! We had lots of children of even 9/10 years old and they all had fun and even did better than some adults :-), but we have to warn you that the game is designed for people over 16 years old and that you will need your attention and concentration focused on the game to completely enjoy the experience, so you decide depending on the skills and personality of your children.
