No booking necessary during opening hours for all activities apart from the potter's wheels where tuition is included. All other crafts Decopatch, pottery painting and mosaics initial instruction given as required! Prices start at just £6.50. We can fully glaze and fire in our studio or loads of take home on the day options. We have our own toilet and baby change. Hot and cold drink facilities.

After month's of being closed it was great to return to Platform 3. We prebooked our slot and it was brilliant. A lot quieter and the kids loved every minute. Also had lunch which was great. The place was spotless and the staff are working so hard to make the place clean and safe. Thank you very much!

Established for over 20 years Rookin House has an amazing range of activities at competitive prices.We can offer activities for individuals, families and large groups including stag& hen and corporate.We are situated half way between Keswick and Penrith (9miles from each) and 4 miles from Ullswater.The mountain range of Blencathra provides a stunning back drop for the centre.Activities include Horse Riding, Pony Trekking, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Air Rifles, Archery, Indoor Karting, Human Bowling, Zip Wire, Assault Course, Argo Cat Off Road Experience, Dakar 4 X 4 and a Stalwart Army Truck.Pre-booking advisable.

My friend & I booked 3 activities: horse riding, clay pigeon shooting & quad biking, all of which were AMAZING!! Firstly, big thanks to all the girls at the riding section, especially the lady out on the trek with us... unfortunately can’t remember her name (she was riding a lovely horse called Jessie). She helped me learn how to have full control over the horse & I felt less nervous knowing she was around! (Big shoutout to Sam the beautiful horse I was riding for being such a good boy!!) The clay pigeon shooting was fun & the quad biking was just incredible!! We didn’t want to get off after our 40 mins was up!! All the staff we spoke to were lovely & helpful.. especially Alistair who we were able to have a bit of ‘banter’ with & even carried on with the quad bike ride after falling over and injuring his foot!! All in all a fantastic day @ Rookin House. Will definitely be back!

Three screen cinema with film savvy staff ... great for families and popular films but equally good for lesser known interesting thoughtful films. Alhambra is very much part of the arts and entertainment offer in Penrith and provides both popular and intellectual films. I’ve watched films as interesting as the Mummy in 3D, Notting Hill ( 20th anniversary), Casablanca theme night, the last witness with Q&A, Yuli , the Carlos Acosta story, Jellyfish, Dirty Dancing, Fantastic Beasts in 3D, For Sama, The Two Popes, the Irishman, ROH Manon Lescaut, and many many more... Alhambra is small in size but massive in its cultural offer... come and “see”! Enjoy the experience of a small screen or the larger big screens!

Newbies to this outdoor forest style holiday, chose staycation due to covid..had a better than expected time as we usually do a Sun Sea sand holiday normally Tenerife, malaga type of thing and so forest outdoor activities holiday is something we would never of dreamt of, firstly super safe never worried once Every precaution was in place to keep every guest safe.. from arriving to leaving we had no complaints Staff always at hand throughout the park for questions / answers...restaurants superb, our favourite been ROUGE CAFE ( specially Ricardo ) Lakeside inn the service food outstanding, disabled friendly , easy access to every activity, baby activities mainly closed due to covid but still lots of parks and Sun aqua Tropical paradise swim pool was open FREE but limited 2 hours slots pre bookable entry only as is ALL THE ACTIVITIES AND RESTAURANTS.. Loved our lodge and made full use of sauna , fully equipped with everything you need for self catering, we had wine cooler, 3 ensuite bathrooms 1 having jet bath.. we did not use outdoor barbecue to damp but in spring summer we definitely would. We took park in lots of activities and our only regret was we were not allowed family day passes again covid restrictions as originally it was to have a family gathering for my hubby's 60th..Overall centre parks is much bigger than I anticipated and must highly recommend the sports village its huge and the activities are endless, crazy golf to segway, biking, ariel tree climbing ,zip wire, caving wall climbing, badminton to pool , list is endless...Overall we have family ranging from 2 years of age to teenagers, thru to 60 and there is something there for everyone..so overall we would return, though much more expensive than a holiday abroad it was a great holiday, fabulous lodge , full of fun memories cosy nights round log burner with chilled beers..FAB FAB FAB.....will return..

Great facilities and staff. Good range of classes and softplay for younger children. Lots of seating in cafe and for anyone waiting for someone in a club.
