Sparks Reserve

Reviewed By ET3121 - Greater Melbourne, Australia

the access point is hidden away but it's worth it when you find it. great expanse of grass with the darebin creek trail running thru. the playground is adequate without being special. the highlight are the autumn leaves and the old stone bridge that has the trail running thru it. TIP: turn off heidelberg rd down The Blvd and do a quick turn down Turnpike rd.

Latitude

Reviewed By fifiB07 - Ivanhoe, Australia

I frequently take my kids here, it's one place they all enjoy and it helps with the excess energy that they have. Can get crazy in the school holidays and parking can be a nightmare during those times too. But worth it, just allow for extra time to possibly park near by and walk. The trampolines, and climbing areas are great.

Heidelberg Park

Reviewed By Masterofsolotravels

Growing up in Heidelberg, I have many happy memories of Heidelberg Park. As a child, it had a small playground with swings and interesting fallen pine trees to climb on. The play equipment is gone and a playground has been put in across the road. Nonetheless, Heidelberg Park is still a very pleasant place to visit between its lush green lawns, a walking/cyclist track, a cricket oval and a wealth of greenery. Recently, I revisited Heidelberg Park with friends who live locally and have young kids. We spread a picnic blanket beneath the lush green pine canopies to decompress after lunch. When sitting under these canopies, a strong pine smell eminates bringing back great memories of childhood.

Petrie Park

Reviewed By w0rries - Melbourne, Australia

Petrie Park is one of those quiet little spots that has become extremely popular in recent times. Play equipment for the kids, a small pergola with BBQ's and public toilets. It is a very safe environment for family fun and it's great seeing it being used as such. If you haven't been there, or haven't been there recently, then take your family down there for a bit of an outdoor treat....well worth the effort.
