This place is a home away from home if you're for a good beer, a simple wine, comfort food, and the company of strangers who might well become friends. I'm not a climber, but doesn't matter. I came here to do my work every day, to drink good coffee, and to just relax. There's never any sense of hurry, and the venue is open all day and night (to the host Daniele's cost of health, no doubt!). But I know it's the centre for winter climbing, for bike tours and repairs, and Daniele and his staff are cheerful, very helpful, and always ready to advise on all aspects of this region of Sicily. Oh, and a great playlist! It all combines to warm the heart as winter closes in...

Cous Cous Fest

From food and wine show to international festival of cultural integration, it has become an event that celebrates friendship and brotherhood between peoples. The aim of the event was to celebrate a simple ingredient, originally from the Mediterranean area, with an international competition that brought together different peoples, histories, traditions, cultures and religions – in the name of cous cous. That is how the Cous Cous Fest began, a Mediterranean food and wine show that made San Vito Lo Capo the world capital of cous cous, hospitality and multiculturalism. The journey began twenty years ago, and nobody could have imagined that it would evolve in such a surp

We have been going to festival since 2013, we havent been every single year but love to plan for every few years. We have also been outside of the festival and loved that too. Took friends one year and that was so fab. I loved sharing my excitement with them. The first year was crazy, we couldnt get a seat in any bar, but met some awesome people and still had fun. The following festival we went to we literally had a back stage seat in a bar and mingled with famous celebrities until the wee small hours. The last time we went it was held on the beach and not so inclusive, but still brilliant. Yeah its expensive, but festivals are, if you dont want that dont go at that time. It’s part of our life now

San Vito has a beautiful beach , it can get crowded in summer . Best time to visit is in September . The beach is a free beach that you can hire an umbrella and sun bed if you like . The water colour is amazing .
