Everything about this shop is a win win. All objects are made from recycled materials so this shop helps the environment while providing a working wage for their artists. I had read about the Wounded Heart Foundation and Shop before my visit and was not disappointed. It was wonderful being greeted by the artists with a cup of tea while wandering through the two small rooms filled with lovely handicrafts made with recycled materials.There are photographs showing well known actors that have also made purchases to help support this cause. As we went just before the Christmas holiday, we were able to purchase tree ornaments made from newspaper and other gifts, We also bought three fabulous wire bowls, and coasters also made from old newspapers. Every purchase also helps fund heart surgeries for children. All the products have a small stuffed heart as their signature. The price point for al the products are very fair. We saw jewelry, cloth bags, scarves, recycled glass cases, pouches, of various sizes, wonderful bowls both. Their basket weaved bowls were stunning1

I popped into this store a week ago when in Hue looking to get some shirts tailored and also purchase some ties. Also my mother who was travelling with me wanted to get some dresses tailored. I was served by Na and Vi who were both incredibly helpful and friendly. Throughout the process Na assisted me in selecting the right fabrics and designs for my shirts whilst Vi assisted my mother with her dresses. After being measured up, I left the store and came back a couple of hours later for the first fitting. After confirming everything was great with the fit, I returned the next day to collect my completed shirts. In all, I ended up purchasing 6 shirts and 4 ties and my mother purchased a number of dresses. The quality is amazing and I couldn't be happier. Gia Huy Silk were incredibly accomodating with our timeline (as we had a flight out) and their service is prompt, speedy and professional. I will definitely return here next time I visit Hue and would highly recommend them for anyone needing tailoring.

Lovely little gallery shop displaying beautiful traditional Chinese paintings, on rice paper, of Vietnamese topics. I bought schoolgirls on bicycles. Colour and monochrome, hand-painted by the man who sells them to you and will explain the technique. Framed for display in the gallery, but removed from frame and beautifully and carefully packaged to take home easily . Reasonable price, and one of my nicest souvenirs from my recent visit.

I got referred to Anh Silk through the accommodation I stayed at (Morin Hotel) and I am very happy for that. Located in the walking street area of Hue close to the river made it very easy to find. Huu’s English was impeccable and his customer service skills are top notch. The turnaround time was very fast and the fit and quality definitely met my expectations. For those who are planning on visiting the central region of Vietnam, I highly recommend avoiding the over saturated tailor scene in Hoi An and go to Hue instead for your custom clothes. Similar selection, higher quality and better prices. I will be going back to Anh Silk next time I visit Hue.

I took a chance visiting the XQ Hand Embroidery Museum since there many reviews anywhere. What a treat and surprise awaited me! This is also a workshop where there are lovely ladies working on amazing works of art embroidering pictures that look like paintings using one silk thread at a time! The atmosphere exudes tranquility, beauty and kindness. Not to be missed.

Bo did all and everything at a cheap price. I got myself a three piece suit for a cost of approx 180 euros, designed to my own liking! Not to mention that she would help us with basically anything we asked, from reliable taxis to leather shoes.

This tailor is absolutely brilliant! Within 24 hours she made me 2 tops, 3 pairs of trousers and a dress. She also adjusted some trousers I’d bought from Thailand for free! I also had a fitting in that time where all adjustments were happily made. I’m so so happy with the garments and I couldn’t recommend them enough! If you’re in Hue this is the only tailor to go to, great range of fabrics and great service!

I loved most of the items on display, but not being of slender Vietnamese shape felt they would not be very flattering. Had a lovely chat with the lady and returned the next day with a skirt of my own, chose a fabric and the hand painting that I wanted on it. Returned the next day and was delighted with what they had produced. I also ordered a simple little top in the same fabric...also perfect. Had we not been leaving Hue the next morning I would have ordered lots more. Thank you to all the staff who advised me and delivered just what I asked for.
