Hit a couple of breweries today, just to see what's new. Columbia Craft was tops. A lot of choices of beer, most of them excellent. People were cool, very informative about the different flavors. We tried small samples of many to see what we liked. I ended up going with a lighter lager style IPA, and it hit the spot. At the end, I asked about choices to take beer home, other than the big Growlers. He mentioned they have a 32oz. can that they fill up and seal the top on it right there in front of you. So, I chose another beer to go, and bought it. Fantastic idea for not a lot of money. Can't wait to go back. See picture attached.

Free parking throughout Columbia on the weekends (no matter what you see on signs and stickers) including the Cannon Garage on Taylor Street between Main Street and Sumter Street. Great way to spend your morning -- and if you're from out of town a perfect way to see our city as the creative class, international, and bustling community we are!

We were here on our second visit to Columbia. This time to move our kid into USC. Good vibe, friendly vendors. Lots of food and coffee with some local crafts. Enjoyed some live music playing as well. It was a brisk, sunny day in January. We were not sure if parking, so we did pay to park in a garage; not sure if options. Hope to figure out for next visit.
