Fish Hawk Spirits Gainesville

We bought a distillery tour on a Groupon while in town. The tour was informative and fun. We were greated by the friendly owner and his son. We tried some of the delicious drinks made by his son. We definitely could have spent all night there. It felt like going to a friend's outdoor bar and having drinks. Great time.

Stopped by to check out this small distillery. They gave us samples of their special single malt whiskey, bourbon, sweet tea vodka, key lime gin, and watermelon moonshine. All were phenomenal. I went home with a key lime gin and my buddy grabbed a single malt whiskey. The best part was Colby giving us a little tour and thieving out some freshly distilled rum for us to try! I can’t wait to go back and get some of that rum.

Hourglass Brewing

The dream of two friends that began brewing on their back porch. Funded by the sales of toy collections, musical equipment, and some family help; a once 12 seat bar room is now a 280 seat Craft Brewery in the heart of Central Florida and a 2017 Florida Brewery of the Year winner. From the beginning and through today, Hourglass Brewing is about creating world class beer and turning outlandish ideas into delicious and nuanced craft brews. Come grab a pint, a snifter, or sampler and relax on our dog friendly patio or take a peek behind the glass walled brew house to observe the daily brew process. Our taproom is uniquely decorated with nostalgic remembrances, geek culture, and the work of local artists. Stacked with table top and console games for free play, we also host frequent live music and comedy nights. One visit and you'll see that Hourglass Brewing is as distinct as the beers that are poured here.

The Corkscrew Winery

We are a unique winery and brewery, that also can help you ferment your own products. We also offer group wine making classes, Paint and Sip classes, wine and beer bar, live music, and a venue for private events. We are a great spot for quiet date nights, family gatherings, team-building exercises, customer appreciation parties, and corporate events.

This was worth the trip up to Ocala from Orlando. We learned so much about the wine-making process with this fun, hands-on, interactive experience. Plus, if you enjoy different wine/beer/cider, this is your place because most of what they offer to drink is what they tinker with. The owner & staff are so personable and just the best kind of people. You can tell he loves what he does. I wish it was closer so I could go more easily.
