Wellington Sky Show (July)

Every November, the city of Wellington launches some 2500 kilograms of fireworks over the Wellington Harbour. This annual spectacle is enhanced by synchronised music (available by tuning in to a couple of local radio stations). There are also plenty of street performers and food stalls in the area, but parking is limited so it's best to take public transportation. Admission is free.
