The 10 Best Day Trips from in Palm - Eagle Beach, Aruba

April 3, 2022 Velvet Champine

Inhabited since the year 1000, Aruba is an island rich in history and culture. Eagle Beach is an idyllic Caribbean beach, with white sands and turquoise waters, and is frequented by water sports enthusiasts. Palm Beach, on the island's west side, offers perfect swimming conditions and powdery sand. Those more concerned with conditions under the waves won't want to miss the wreck of the torpedoed tanker Pedernales, a popular diving site. Aruba is only 20 miles long, thus easily explored by bike or moped.

ATTG took our group all over the island to some of the best places to see and do in Aruba! Rensley is the best, he is a native of Aruba, knows everything about the history and culture of the island and is passionate about sharing it with others. Up for adventure? They can do that. Looking to relax? They do that too. From snorkeling, off roading and hikes to white sand beaches, natural pools, rum tasting and more! (we were there for 2 weeks, we did a lot!) Awesome trip with these guys! We even got to meet Rensley's wife Rita, who is so much fun! Don't hesitate to take a tour with them.

We had the pleasure of taking a private enclosed Jeep with AC tour this past Monday while vacationing in Aruba. We elected this option because we rather not inhale dirt and possibly hurt ourselves while navigating the rocky and dusty terrain of the east side of this beautiful island. For us it was perfect! Vale was our guide. He was amazing! He picked us up at our hotel in the low rise section and we discussed what we did and didn’t want to do. He made excellent suggestions and we were on our way. He followed COVID protocols and provided pleasant conversation, explained the history of each site and this amazing “one happy island”. He was an excellent driver and took it slow over the rocky and off road terrain. He took pictures for us and provided cold waters and soft drinks but most of all AC and a dirt free ride while taking us directly to the sites. We visited the California lighthouse and Alto vista chapel for quick photo opportunities, then off to the mini natural bridge and main natural bridge which is now collapsed. However, there is a great photo opportunity at another one right next to it. We then stopped at Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins followed by Andicuri Beach. I believe there was a mini natural pool there or along the way. We elected not to go to Arikok national park to see the bigger natural pool because it would’ve taken at least another 1.5-2hrs plus we had experienced similar places in Hawaii. We also stopped briefly at Wariruri Bay for more pics. We ended at Ayo and Casibari Rock Formations which my wife and I surprisingly enjoyed. I think the history and fun “animal” guessing game for the rock formations Vale came up with helped! We even saw wild goats. Vale then drove us back to our hotel and we sadly said goodbye. I highly recommend this tour to get away for a few hours of lying on the beach chairs to see this beautiful other side of the island. Request Vale as your guide and he won’t disappoint! Thank you again Vale!

Get up close and personal with Aruba's wildlife in a way that's unique on the island. You'll start your privately guided hike at the Balashi gold mill ruins, where you’ll learn all about its history and enjoy a great view from Spanish Lagoon. You’ll then venture into the surrounding hills and mangroves, where you’ll enjoy Aruba’s local birds and flora. After the hike you can cool off at Mangel Halto, snorkeling past healthy coral reefs under guidance of an experienced, EFR certified private guide. You can expect a private experience that is 100% catered to the pereference and experience level of your group. The activities are extremely versatile and can be adapted on the spot if you decide to take it easy, or want to look for more adventure. Please note that we do not operate by boat. Boat engines are loud and disturb (and potentially damage) marine life. By approaching from shore, you get to access rarely-visited spots that are more vibrant with fish, coral and other marine life.

14May2021: The tour with Monica from Fins and Feet was perfect! She picked us up at our resort promptly at 0530 and drove to where we started the hike. On arrival she provided the 3 of us with a backpack complete with water, towel, snorkel and snack. We hiked to the natural pool. Monica was very pleasant and was knowledgeable about Aruba, and answered all of our questions. We really enjoyed Monica as our private tour guide. It was a beautiful sunrise and the water at the Natural pool was perfect for snorkeling. Monica gave some tips for navigating the rocks and entry into the pool. We saw many colorful fish while snorkeling and had the pool to ourselves. After the snorkel we hiked back to the parking lot where we enjoyed some refreshing watermelon. Monica returned us to our resort by 0930. The total hike was 2.95 miles.

Our first full day on Aruba and we spent the day exploring the island from top to bottom with ABC Tours. It is the best way to see all of the “must-see” places Aruba has to offer and you won’t be disappointed! Our tour guide Uncle Johnny was amazing. He was very informative at each stop and we had plenty of time to explore and enjoy. We also can’t say enough good things about our drivers, Tony and Wally. They kept us entertained and were a lot of fun. We definitely recommend this tour!

This is a great way to spend a night in Aruba. Excellent food, drinks and staff! The food was just as good as the top restaurants on the island. The staff was fun and played music for all ages as well as took requests. We were able to have a clear night and the sunset on the water offered great pictures. We had a group of 7 people and really enjoyed this cruise and will book this again the next time we are on the island!
