Warning: Do NOT book a tour with this company. I joined a group tour on a cruise. The cruise line changed our itinerary and Compass Travel was unable to accommodate the requested new tour date. They then told me they would refund 25% of the money we prepaid for the tour. It has been 6 weeks and the promised refund has not been received. I have sent repeated emails to the company and get no response. I have taken group tours through numerous companies; this is the first negative review I have written.

We took a tour to Jerusalem with Hallelujah Tours and Avi. Needless to say, he was beyond amazing. He was fun, brilliant with the history of the land, the religions and people of Jerusalem past and present, historical buildings, architecture, language and the origin of names in religion. We learned so much and had so much fun. He is great with languages and spoke English, Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic and a little French too. We went to many of the must-see sites of old Jerusalem and the Machane Yehuda market. We had plenty of time at the Western Wall, walking through the markets in the old city, visiting the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and eating lunch, dessert and getting hot drinks. We had time to shop too and enjoyed being in such a vibrant city. Avi truly felt like he was a family member. We would definitely take another tour with him and use Hallelujah tours in the future!!

Add a visit to the lowest place on earth to your adventures! We will drive down to the Dead Sea area and stop on the way at the Sea Level Point. The first part of the tour we will spend exploring Masada, the desert stronghold fortified by Herod the Great, which was the venue for the last struggle between Jews and Romans during the Great Revolt. The remarkably well preserved fortress unfolds the shocking story of its end in 73 CE. We will continue to the Dead Sea beach, one of the saltiest lakes on earth, where you will experience your body floating on water while you read a newspaper. It is also an opportunity to enjoy a cold beer at the lowest bars in the world (-420 m!). Note: The price is for guiding only. Transportation is not included.

Inclusions: Guiding

Exclusions: Private transportation, Entrance fees

This was an excellent and very rewarding tour with David. Despite the challenges of COVID, and the fact I booked the tour on Shabaat, David was able to take me around the old city and pass on his non-biased and in depth knowledge of the old city. David took all COVID precautions and was able to give other handy information about the city, even going so far as to make sure I text him when I got back safely to my hotel. Thanks for a great tour!

I will pick you up at your hotel or agreed location, bring you to the sites you are interested in, and make the day last as long or short as you desire. In addition, I will not only tell the dramatic stories, explain the history, and delve in to the nature of the Dead Sea and it's sites, but we will discuss the effects these sites have had on our societies today. Geopolitics and ecology will be present alongside history archeology, and religion. All of this is in addition to the relaxation and wonder of the Dead Sea. This tour is a perfect break from the experiences of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. I will also take care of you along the way. The day tour to Jerusalem and Bethlehem was very interesting. The group was quite small and we got a great overview of the history and tensions between Israel and Palestine. Amir Call Or was a great guide. I would book a tour with him again anytime. For the Bethlehem part and we also had a local guide who arranged for us to visit the tomb of Jesus without waiting in line. I highly recommend Bein Harim Tourism Services.
