We did not pick Dorien Malaj as our guide in Albania; we were matched up by one of the travel industry’s many anonymous middle men—but the moment we actually met Dorien, we knew we had gotten lucky. He was quick to identify our particular interests and to adjust accordingly. Our focus in Albania was their “accursed mountains” in the north east. We expected that in getting from Dubrovnik to Albania, Montenegro would be little more than a “drive through”. However, Dorien took us on a stunning mountain route that included the two beautiful but very different towns of Kotor and Cetinje, which really put Montenegro on the map for us, an added bonus. Dorien was so well-informed and happy to share both the hard facts and the subtle cultural nuances we were observing. His interactions with local people were very interesting to observe, and his background in Psychology gave him an interesting perspective, greatly enhancing our experience. His personal interests were so varied and wide, and that made looking through his eyes very stimulating for us and made conversation very productive. There was no subject off limits—about either Albania or the US. Dorien has a nice sense of humor that seemed to match ours…so that we had lots of fun together, too. It was a very easy and open relationship.

Over the centuries, the ancient town had disappeared under layers of silt and vegetation - but archaeologists have uncovered one of the best remains of a working town in the Mediterranean. Later we will visit the town of Saranda, opposite of Corfu . About 21:00 we will return in Corfu.

It was amazing day just for 25 euros per person. Captain Spyros took us from Agios Gordios and drived us to Gouvia by his car telling nice stories about villages we passed. The boat was big and nice and Spyros was the best part of it. He was joking, singins, dancing, talking to everyone and making food. The food was very tasty, and free coffe, biscuits and free wine all the day. The three places we stopped were very nice especially this wild beahh near the lake.

This tour combines some of the lesser known countries in the Balkans; Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro, by trying to show the best each of these countries offers. Albania offers a mixture of cultural elements with 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a rich archaeological legacy. Macedonia offers some of the most excellent religious relics, with Ohrid having the biggest Icon museum in the region as well as many beautiful churches. This theme is carried over into Kosovo the newest state in Europe, where we combine religious monuments with tasting of wine and local foods. The Tour will end up in Montenegro which has made a name for itself based on its wild natural beauty.

I can't thank our tour guide Adam enough for giving us a fun filled day from start to finish. If you are lucky enough to get him as your tour guide you will agree with me that he is one interesting man on this planet! He went above and beyond, even making additional pit stops. He showed us so much in one day that would of easily taken us two to three days to do. The tour exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to do future day trips in other countries/cities with Albanian Express Travel and Adam!

This was truly a beautiful day out. After being cooped up due to lock-down, I knew I was in dire need of nature, and the natural hot springs were just the ticket to ease my mind, and bring my entire body to a state of relaxation. My tour guide spoke English beautifully, and was a great leader throughout the journey. In fact, all of the staff at Tea Tours was lovely, and their office is also home to a nice Souvenir Shop, where you can find English books, maps and other goodies.

This 7 day tour aims to present Albanian cities/sites and objects, which fall under UNESCO protection. Albania counts several cities and objects that are part of our cultural heritage, so the value of this particular tour is of great cultural and archaeological importance. During the 7 day tour, you will explore the fabulous town of Berat (known as the city of the THOUSAND AND ONE WINDOWS), and Gjirokastra, the stone town that still fanatically fosters the tradition and culture of the country. You will also explore the ancient city of Butrint, which was proclaimed a museum in 1961, and in 1992 entered under the protection of UNESCO; The Blue Eye Natural Park; the fascinating old village of Qeparo, and enjoy free time on the lovely Himara beaches. Further on, you visit Përmet (known as the City of Roses), and we'll pass by Tepelena, with a visit of Ali Pasha Tepelena Castle.

Upon arriving to Saranda I knew I wanted to see more of the other locations outside of the general area. So, in loving the fine folks at Tea Tours, I opted to take a tour to Qeparo and Himara. I mean, you can't go wrong. An ancient village, reminiscent of what some movies are made of and the beautiful beach in Himara to enjoy after perusing Qeparo. And, Qeparo itself, set upon the top of a mountain, truly has some incredible photo opportunities to discover and capture. And the village, while barely inhabited by the locals, also has many opportunities to snap a great architectural photo. I do hope to tour a little more with Tea Tours, as everyone there is truly helpful, and kind. And, the guide, fantastic!

Albania is a wonderful country. People are so welcoming, we felt so comfortable. Our excellent local guide Ari told us a lot about the culture and amazing history of this small country. Most exciting was one of our drives through the beautiful and spectacular Albanian Riviera. Albanian traditional food was extremely delicious and the place we were accommodated was pretty cool. I would really suggest this 3days tour if you want to enjoy your holidays in South of Albania. P.s Well done Ari and thanks for the beautiful photos.

Beginning in Albania, our visits include a number of the highlights of this country and its fascinating history, ancient and the more recent years of communist struggle, with four UNESCO sites visited as well as the beautifully scenic Albanian Riviera. In Montenegro we enjoy the stunning scenery of Kotor Bay visiting the old town, a wonderful ‘living museum’ of historic and picturesque streets. We also visit Budva, rich in historical monuments and home to yet another wonderful old town, which offers a treasure chest of cultural heritage. My tour with Good Albania was delightful as it gave me an opportunity to explore the UNESCO heritage sites and indulge in the nation's wonderful cuisine. Originally, I was supposed to join one other person for the tour, but that individual had to cancel suddenly. So I ended up on a private tour and could adjust the pace of my journey as things unfolded. My guide Migert was easygoing and attentive to my needs, helping me get antihistamines when I experienced an allergic reaction and mailing my postcards near the end of my trip. The food throughout the trip was delicious, and the portions were so large that on most nights, I felt too full to eat anything for supper. The local guides throughout the trip were also informative and friendly, and meeting a local family in a mountain village was another highlight of the experience. Overall, the Good Albania team was courteous throughout my booking process and created an enjoyable and comprehensive tour. Thank you Good Albania! I hope to join you again for another tour in the future. I recommend that others stay another day in Tirana to enjoy more of the history of the city as I had to leave sooner than I had originally hoped.
