We re running a small game farm on 87 hectares with a few giraffes, bontebok, springbok, eland, wildebeest,reebok, sables, kudu, steenbok, water buck and much more. A haven for wildlife with stunning views. Our 3 cottages offer our guests privacy and we guarantee you will see game during your visit. Fishing in full season at the farm. Guaranteed to catch something at the middle dam or the first bottle wine is on us! :) We also encourage you to walk or cycle the farm. We've built up some stunning picnic areas, ideal for sunsets. Families with kids, and lovers of nature are our favorite guests. Children get a chance to experience normal farm life at the bottom of the farm if they wish, and the green folks are welcome to collect their own veggies if they wish to do so. Permaculture and water conservation are a big part of our philosophy, and we try as best we can, to preserve the local ecosystem. We've done many mistakes on our farm, and we will make many more:)

Our beautiful farm is nestled in the picturesque Hermitage Valley, and situated just 2km's outside of Swellendam at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains. Our cottages are known for its spectacular views, cleanliness, luxury beds and tranquillity. Abundant outdoor activities and pretty Berry Farms are just a stone throw away. Your hosts The Zaayman Family (Ma Nadia, Pa Spuy, Little Bro Zondagh & Tiny Sis Katryn) would love for you to share our little piece of paradise and stay a while in one of the 4 self-catering cottages on our farm. All cottages are comfortably furnished with all the necessities and you will be glad to know every one of them comes with an outside Braai area. We furthermore appreciate the importance of a good nights rest and all adult beds are equipped with only the best pocket spring mattresses for your sleeping pleasure. All our cottages are fitted with free WIFI for guests that simply can't go without. There are loads to see and do in and around Swellendam, the 3rd oldest town in South Africa (and once declared a Republic of its own!). We really have it all. So if it's just a quick visit passing through, business trip, a weekend away from it all or a long deserved holiday, Hermitage Huisies would love to accommodate all your needs. We have a glorious salt water swimming pool for summer cool off and a wood fired hot tub for winter hire! Three of our cottages come with indoor fireplaces and TV's.

Wildebraam offers several lovely units on a youngberry farm in Swellendam. Nestled in the Hermitage Valley, 2 km from Swellendam, all the units enjoy stunning views of the Langeberg Mountains and guests will revel in the tranquil country atmosphere. All units are fully equipped with towels and linen provided. Games and books are also provided.A minimum 2- night stay over weekends is preferred when booking the larger cottages. Wildebraam is renowned for its liqueurs and deli range produced on site and all guests are welcome to join us for tastings in our cellar Mon-Sat. In addition, Wildebraam has a conference/function venue which can host up to 64 people and both corporate and private functions are very popular.ACTIVITIES: Liqueur & deli tasting at Wildebraam Cellar, horse riding by own appointment with DEE HAZELL, birding, hiking in surrounds or in Marloth Nature Reserve (1.5km), mountain biking and berry picking (in season). A 9-hole golf course is 1.5km away and various sport clubs are in Swellendam. Little ones (and older ones!) will love Sulina’s Fairy Sanctuary and Swellendam also has several art galleries and local potters and artists. Well worth visits could include the local Drostdy museum, Bontebok National Park, De Hoop Nature Reserve, Robertson Wine Route-just to mention a few. There are also lovely day trips into the countryside including Barrydale, Montagu, Robertson, Malgas and Arniston. BUT, most of all, lots of RELAXING!! Idyllically situated 10 km from the historic town of Stanford, Stanford Valley Guest Farm provides a restful and picturesque base from which to tour the Overstrand region of South Africa's Western Cape. Each units has a private entrance and outdoor barbeque area and safe off-street parking. Conveniently situated close to the village CBD in the peaceful, established, leafy suburb of Eastcliff, guests may take a 5 minute stroll to the sea front cliff paths, marine tidal pool, shops and restaurants and most amenities while soaking up the sun and breathing the fresh champagne air.
