Cooking with Neha was a wonderful way to experience Indian cuisine. She is an excellent teacher with a warm and welcoming personality, and will make you feel at ease from the moment you step into her beautiful home. Her attention to detail really shines through — from the way she lays out ingredients and utensils in advance so you can focus on cooking, to the beautiful recipe booklet she gifts every participant at the end of class. Cooking with her not only taught us how to layer spices for maximum flavor, but gave us insight into Indian culture and lifestyle. Plus, the location gave us an excellent excuse to visit the pretty Hauz Khas neighborhood, which we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. All in all, an excellent way to spend a day in Delhi, and I can’t wait to recreate those recipes at home!

Preeti provided an unforgettable authentic lesson in making delicious plates native to northern India. We’ve been to many cooking classes, from stuffy refined classes in the US to more intimate classes abroad. This class was unique in that it was in Preeti’s home kitchen, so it was truly an experience of what local cooking is all about. This will take you out of touristy Delhi for sure! We started with masala tea and vegetable pakoras with a mint chutney, and then created a main course of chicken curry, aloo gobi, dal makhani, chapatis, and cumin rice. Each dish was unique and tasty, and Preeti did a great job making sure we were doing and learning, not just watching. We made everything from scratch, and Preeti taught us not only these specific recipes but explained the fundamentals behind these kinds of dishes such that we could use some basic techniques to make a variety of dishes. We will definitely be trying replicate and experiment with what we learned! Preeti books only private lessons, so you’ll be comfortable to customize your meal to your spice tolerances and other preferences. She is also very thorough with logistics, checking to make sure we knew how to get to her home, talking to our Uber driver, and also arranging our ride back to our hotel. It was great to cook, talk, learn, and eat with Preeti. She opens up her home for a truly unique culinary experience, one which we will remember for some time.

We truly enjoyed our cooking class, Anchal is very kind and knowledgeable, she makes the experience fun and interesting! We cooked the dishes ourselves, ate them and then went to the market to buy some of the spices! It was a great experience and a highly recommend one!
