A pleasant surprise for an en route stop - really nice apartment in good location
Reviewed By HappyBCTravellersMy husband and I spent 2 nights in Merida as we needed a place to stay en route between Lisbon and Madrid before flying home. Although it was meant to be just a stop off point to get ready for our trip home (and we weren't expecting much) we really enjoyed our time here - lots of Roman ruins and a really great square (Plaza Espana) to people-watch while enjoying a glass (or two) of wine. The rooms are all unique so maybe some are better than others - our room (#205 - Apolonia) was excellent - good sized bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The parking garage adjacent to the apartments is convenient and cheap (special rate of 10 euros per day). We found the reception staff to be very helpful and courteous - and it was great to have an elevator for our luggage (by this point in our trip we were getting tired of carrying our suitcases up stairs).. We recommend staying here but suggest you make sure you don't get the rooms next to the elevator as, based on other reviews, they are apparently very small. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Reviewed By Pepe LEs un antiguo convento que posteriormente pasó a manos de un médico y en la actualidad es un lugar muy curioso convertido en estupendos apartamentos, manteniendo todo su antiguo explendor. Habitaciones amplias y cómodas, exceptuando la cama. Y creo que podrían atender el servicio de habitaciones. Incluyen desayuno que siempre es de agradecer. Lugar que recomiendo.

Very Convenient to all things Roman in Merida
Reviewed By EdenJVery convenient to all the Roman ruins. 20 min walk from train station. Stayed in one bedroom apartment which was nice size and had a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Could use some wine glasses. It was clean except for a few ants found around the bathroom door. Biggest complaint was the remote check-in process. We had difficulty making contact which was due partly to language barrier and US phone. Finally we got our concierge from our preceding hotel to call and make contact for us. After we had the check-in information, it was easy to get into apartment. Only complaint about the apartment was the shower floor drain which is level with the bathroom floor. This could lead to flooding if you were not extremely careful with how long you showered and where the shower head was pointed. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very good for the price point compared to the other hotels we considered.

Reviewed By JOSE GApartamento confortable, límpio, luminoso. Ubicación inmejorable justo frente al Templo de Diana. Tu ventana o terraza (según el aprtamento, íbamos dos familias) visión directa y frontal a las columnas del templo. Sin nada enmedio, sólo tú y la "historia". Inmejorable. A un paso de todo, precio muy razonable y anfitriona atenta y pendiente de todo.

The worst experience ever ...
Reviewed By O4608DVfsThis Establishment should be penalized for this practice, for the inconveniences caused during my visit to their premises at Hostal ABADIA , poor customer service, lack of communication, money taken from my account without authorization. I'm preparing a statement to report via Citizens Bureau in Spain and also the police was aware of the incident who recommend to raise the needed procedure with the bank and other consumers organisations and with all the evidence open a file with them, at the end of the day this would be for the benefit of the consumers and avoid that incidents like this can happen again. Never book with them, never stay with them, the Manager , Mr Asensio Masegosa Ortego, didn't care that I ended on the street looking for alternative accommodation due this experience, no even an apologize letter.

Reviewed By choque2001BelgiumIf you call them, they say they don't accept guests for 1 night although they are in favour for pilgrims. Which pilgrim is staying more than 1 night in a place ? And when I asked earlier information, then it was too early. I wander if they really want guests?

Spacious apartments in excellent location
Reviewed By Lorraine BWe stayed in Merida for one night on our way from Santander. The apartment was very spacious and clean and excellent value for money. We were met on arrival and everything was perfect. There were places nearby to eat and you could walk into Town in about 20 mins. Would definitely stay again.

Reviewed By 875uwefDas "Apartmentos Coso de San Albin" haben wir für 3 Nächte als Unterkunft in Merida gebucht. Die Besitzerin hat sich schon vor unserer Ankunft um alles gekümmert und uns kontaktiert. Checkin war kein Problem, die Besitzering war nach wenigen Minuten da. Der Kühlschrank war mit allem notwendigen gefüllt - für ein Frühstück war alles reichlich vorhanden. Kaffee aus der Nespresso-Maschine. Auch ein gut gefüllter Obstteller war vorhanden. Das Appartment war sehr sauber und gepflegt, trotz der Lage war es ruhig. Es gibt sowohl reservierte Parkplätze in der Nähe als auch eine Garage ein paar Ecken weiter. Das Appartment ist durch seine Größe ideal für ein paar Tage länger geeignet. Auch für ein Abendessen gibt es gute Restaurants in der Nähe, wir fanden das Essen im "Las Extremañas" recht gut.

Reviewed By Alma GThe apartments we have seen (Jazmin & Olive) were both very nice, spacious and neat! Service and staff also very nice!! At our service, any time of the day. Very nice and clean swimmingpool, including solarium and kids pool. A lot of restaurants on walking distance, aswell as the montain to climb (incl. route) and a veeery beautifull lake. So just a perfect place to relax and a lot to see, for a reaally good price!!! We will definately come back here.
