Avignon charms visitors with its ancient streets, restored medieval ramparts and the immense Gothic architecture of the Palais des Papes (Palace of Popes—the papacy was based here in the 14th century). The Palace of the Popes made for an interesting morning. The audio guides, included in the price of admission, and the technology used made it easy to understand what each room was used for, and also to understand the history of the Palace.

Since its inception in 1992, the Avignon Theater Laurette has always strived to program priority of contemporary authors texts by living composers, as well as original creations of companies. This is a permanent theater in Avignon with live entertainment throughout the year. The Avignon Theatre Laurette is a tribute to Laurette Fugain, our friend for life.
