This is now run by the council. There are fantastic paintings on the walls and ceiling. A mini Sistine Chapel. The text explaining the pictures is a bit complicated to work out. Concerts are held here quite regularly and worth the experience of the music in such a beautiful space.

The first surprise is to consider from the outside such a big church in a tiny village. This was the place of the Bishop of Comminges, including one who became the first Pope in Avignon. The second surprise stands inside with many wonders to see including, among others, the cloister, the wooden stalls in the choir, the organ and the treasure.

Batie au XIIIe siecle, l'eglise de style gothique meridional est classee monument historique. Sa facade est fortifiee, son clocher haut de 32m est a 16 pans. L'interieur compte plusieurs objets classes monuments historiques : mise au tombeau du XVe, Christ en Croix du XVe, tableau de Girodet "le Christ mort soutenu par la Vierge, une crypte avec reliquaires, reliques de St Jacques, etc.
