they tell you to go on the # 2 tour adventure. but not that you are on a tight rope with the feed on wet rocks ... and if you fall here you broke your back or if you are lucky only one leg. with about 120 km down to the nearest hospital. here they tell you there are many animals of se. there are all animals here .. ask which animal? answer all animals. do not go on this tour and if there are animals let them live in peace. We had great trip to Vietnam thanks to the great customer service provided by Custom Vietnam Travel and all of their staff, especially Liliana Pham. We were two couples who decided to make the trip after many months of planning with the help of Liliana. The first stop in Hanoi was excellent with good accommodations and everything was open. One highlight was the cooking class we took that introduced us to fresh Vietnamese cooking and shopping at the markets. We also took a day trip to Tam coc which was great. We then went to Halong Bay, Hue, Hoi An, Danang and Saigon. On each step of the way we dealt with Liliana who made sure our trip went smoothly, despite the difficulty of travel during the threat of the Covid-19 virus. She helped us re-arrange our itinerary and had incredible patience as we substituted a few new activities. We particularly loved Hoi An with its colourful atmosphere and fantastic restaurants and scenery. Our drivers and tour guides were all very helpful and courteous and definitely helped us get the most our of our trip. Liliana even managed to get us on a different boat for the trip up the Mekong Delta and we ended up with the boat to ourselves! Since our trip was cut short (we did not make to Cambodia), Liliana arranged for the company to reimburse us for the lost portion of the trip. Overall, I would highly recommend Custom Vietnam Travel and their representatives like Lilana who clearly go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service with a friendly attitude and also pride in the rich culture of their country.

We pick up you from your hotel in Sapa at 7am to go to the largest Flower Hmong market in Northern Vietnam at Bac Ha which is held on Sundays. The market is a 110km drive so the early start is essential. Your private tour guide will be with you every step of the way to make sure you have a memorable day. The market is alive with the bright colours and extravagant costumes of the local people, here you will meet Flower Hmong (Red Hmong), Black Dao, Tay, Nung, La Chi, Phu La and other tribal groups who come from far and wide to buy and sell a wide variety of goods and livestock, to exchange news and to renew friendships. In the past the market was a centre for trading horses but now that motorbikes have replaced them it is more common to see buffalo, cows, goats, fish and other livestock being traded. The market opens at around 7.30am and closes mid-afternoon.

Zen has a great energy to her. Her traditional upbringing in Sapa combined with her now modern life in Hanoi means she can answer any questions you have in regards to life in Vietnam. English is great, very positive personality, will adapt to any specific requests you might have in terms of itinerary changes or restrictions. We did a 5 day tour with her in Ha Giang and couldn't be more happy with the trip.

We chose Mr Linh's based on our friends' recommendation. The replies from the agent were prompt, and it was easy to make changes or ask questions. Our itinerary was fairly straight forward, and you can check all the accommodations as they provide an itinerary with links to hotels and homestays. Both our guide and driver were excellent. At all times we felt safe when Mr Long was behind the wheel. Mr Son was very knowledgeable about the area, and he also picked up quickly our favourite dishes and our average hiking/trekking speed. We did a 9D/8N trip, and had to do small changes along the way (like skipping motorbike riding as it was a rainy day going from Ha Giang to Dong Van, and then staying one extra night in Dong Van waiting for the rain to stop). The changes were not an issue to Mr Son. We had a small misunderstanding, but even that was duly noted and communicated to us. We went to places where there were no other tourists, and it was really wonderful to enjoy the fresh air, amazing sceneries, colourful tribes and see people at their daily chores. Our itinerary was Hanoi-Hoang Su Phi-Ban Phung-Ha Giang-Dong Van-Cao Bang/Quang Uyen-Ban Gioc Falls-Quang Uyen-Hanoi. To see the rice fields in full colour, I would suggest going latest early October. Around mid-October a lot of the rice had already been harvested, but still plenty being harvested by the locals, mostly women. I would strongly recommend Mr Linh's for travels to Northern Vietnam.
