A party of 15 of us joined Matthew and his team on the edge of Exmoor for a planned clay pigeon shooting experience. We had been partying the night before so there was no better way to clear the head than to spend some time shooting in pouring rain. It was great fun! Matthew and his team are brilliantly organised and very skilled in their coaching and support so that everyone feels like a winner. And indeed we were all reinvigorated and thrilled by the experience. A must-do activity.

Come and explore the atmosphere of a unique railway - the Somerset & Dorset line - which ran from Bath to Bournemouth through some of the most scenic parts of the two counties and has captured the imagination of generations. See how communities were changed by the coming of the railway, from the agriculture of the Somerset lowlands to the coal mines in the north of the county. Discover how peat was dug from the wetlands and transported by its own narrow-gauge railway. Study the lives of the people who built and worked on the line through the spade which cut the first sod and tool boxes made by apprentices at Highbridge Works, on one of the S&D line's branches. We have historical carriages; an 1886 S&D First Class carriage has been fully restored. There's a reconstruction of one of the S&D's signalboxes where you can ring the bells and pull the levers. One or more restored steam locomotives is usually on site. Our shop has a range of book, DVDs, etc plus refreshments and snacks.

During a very rainy week's stay in Watchet, Pebbles became somewhat of a solice. There are only seats for 17 people, so booking is advisable. The staff are super friendly & very happy to advise as to ciders that best suit your taste. Being able to bring in food from the chip shop, Indian, Deli or Pizza place was an added bonus. The open mike night on a Tuesday is now held in the harbour- well worth listening to.You need to purchase a refundable plastic glass if you want to drink outside. Great place- well worth a visit.

Yankee Jack (John Short) was born in Watchet and went to sea as a lad,bringing back many sea shanties which were collected in later years by the famous folklorist Cecil Sharp. This has to be one of the most beautiful locations for a statue.

We pre booked Sunday Carvery here over the Spring Bank holiday, if we hadn't they would not have been able to serve us the Carvery as they were so busy. Thus made us a little worried what the service would be like when we sat down but it was amazing Carvery staff really helpful, served us quickly and the food was brilliant. I had vegetarian which was a staffed butternut squash and the neat eaters had a choice of turkey and beef or both. We were very impressed and social distances we're adhered too. I'd highly recommend. Book for Carvery but it's it's just sandwiches and cakes you'll probably be ok we had a little wander round the animals after which was nice. We walked here easily from the Haven site.

Great farm for the kids. A fully stocked farm shop, great food and then play park. The little kids love to feed the animals and the best thing is that it's free entrance.

Just lovely to learn about the local history. Staff in the information centre lovely as well. Even better is that it's free ( optional voluntary donation)
