Open on appointment only. The most complete in the world (certified Guinness World Record) about the service station. A unique place for classic car lovers and motorcycle meetings.

I have recently visited Museo Fisogni and I was in awe. It's a vast private collection of gas station pumps and road signs, it is very variegated and we'll put together. Gas pumps don't sound very glamorous, but old ones are very colourful and we'll designed. I recommend it if they are in Northern Italy lakes' area.

The ancient village was born more than 1000 years ago around the hill where used to be the castle ( today you can admire the Collegiata ), at the foot of the hill the river Olona flows. The origin of the town can be found during Romans. The village we can admire today is a creation of the Cardinal Brada Castiglione (1350-1443) who rebuild the village tanks to architects, sculptors and painters coming from Florence. Many frescoes was done by Masolino da Panicale

Good parking. Little coffee shop. Larger restaurant (which we didn't try). Small shop. We saw the temporary Sean Scully exhibition which was thoroughly enjoyable with lots of space in which to display the a huge collection of work. Enjoyed some of rest of collection too. Views onto garden were lovely. Unfortunately raining so unable to enjoy the outside space which looked really special. Worth the visit.

We spent a morning hiking part of the trail, in each direction, from the station of the tram. The views were incredible and the little stores were charming. The cathedral/monastery was amazing. We were with all of our adult children and grand children. Everyone enjoyed the spectacular views. It was a cold winter day but the sun was out and the hiking kept us warm. I wish that we could have spent more time there but we had to leave after about three hours.

Lake Varese Bicycle Trail

Reviewed By 850bastiaan

Bike trail around the lake is perfect for a tranquillo ride around the lake. But, watch out for the bike rental "noleggio bici" near the Lido della Schiranna part of the lake!! I had the worst experience of renting a bike. It is an absolutely scam. The bikes are of a really bad quality. Got a flat tire 2 times! Furthermore, the chain was loose for 3 times. Same happened to my mate with the chain. I had to pay the full amount of money, which was 20 euro for a 5 hour ride with al these problems.. I didnt agree and he called the italian police immediately. I suggest rent a "gimme bike" from the city and cycle to the lake: it is not far. or find another bike shop! Good luck guys:)
