The Museum of the Red River

Reviewed By ARTraveler870 - Nashville, United States

This museum is top-notch. They have an impressive collection of baskets and jars from all around the world, in addition to the reconstruction of the fossilized skeleton of an Acrocanthosaurus atokensis (a large, carnivorous, spined dinosaur) found in McCurtain County (where Idabel is located). In addition, the museum includes many pieces of art and artifacts used by people both in the past and in the present-day from various Indigenous tribes, including the Caddo, who historically called this area home, and the Choctaw, who were forcibly removed to this area by the U.S. government. A terrific museum! I can’t wait to return soon!

Fish Tales Winery & Vineyards

Reviewed By eastcoastcontessa - Prague, Czech Republic

Linda, Russell, and the rest of the staff at Fish Tales Winery were so warm and welcoming! They made our Broken Bow experience so memorable. The wine tasting was amazing and we liked so many wines, it was hard to choose just one bottle to take home! The atmosphere was calm and inviting, and we sat there all afternoon and just drank wine and chatted by the fireplace. Highly recommend the dip sampler and the peach wine!
