Lansdowne Trip - Travel Cafe

We have restored a 100 years old mule shed to run this community based Travel Cafe' in a quaint little village of Devikhal some 15kms before/after Lansdowne. We are situated in Devikhal village on Pauri highway . From Lansdowne one has to reach Jaiharikhal and then take Pauri Highway , drive downhill on the road to Kotdwar. We are bang opposite Devikhal green colour bus stand. The Cafe' houses a small library for all travel enthusiasts & a souvenir section which has memorabilia from all across the country to buy from. Also on display is our personal collection of antiques. Happy Travelling & Keep Exploring Lansdowne Trip Travel Cafe'

Santoshi Mata Temple

Lansdowne is a small town in Pauri Garwhal in Uttarakhand in India which is the regimental Centre of the Garwhal Rifles regiment. This is a pleasant place with several visiting places for tourists. The tourists mainly visit the so called highest point called the Tip in Top but the road beyond it goes to the Santoshi Mata Mandir, a place higher than the Tip in Top.This temple is under the upkeep with the Garwhal Rifles people and ther is no so called priest within. A small steep climb reaches the temple away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. the temple is clean and is revered. The road further goes towards the central School.

This temple is situated at a height and gives nice views. You feel nice once you are there. Place of solitude and unspoilt
