Jacksonville Beach is a coastal resort city in Duval County, Florida, United States. It was incorporated on May 22, 1907 as Pablo Beach, and would later change its name to Jacksonville Beach in 1925. The city is part of group of communities collectively referred to as the Jacksonville Beaches. These communities include Mayport, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, and Ponte Vedra Beach. When the city of Jacksonville consolidated with Duval County in 1968, Jacksonville Beach, together with Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, and Baldwin, voted to retain their own municipal governments. As a result, citizens of Jacksonville Beach are also eligible to vote in mayoral election for the City of Jacksonville. As of the 2010 census, Jacksonville Beach had a total population of 21,362.

We come here at least three a year! This place Rocks! We have stayed in hotels and rentals and have enjoyed every visit. Yes it gets hottt! Delighted with the visit to this museum. It was free, but could leave a donation. There was not only a museum. There were also several buildings in the park one could visit by guided tour. Very interesting and enjoyable.

We had an awesome time at Mind Bender for a friends night out. We did the Four Kingdoms Room which is like a Game of Thrones theme. The puzzles were difficult but well thought out. The props and decor were awesome and they pay great attention to detail. We didn’t make it out in time but want to go back and try again. This would be awesome for a team building event or group work outing. You really need to work together to help solve the puzzles. We can’t wait to go back!

Fishers have to pay a fee and so do walkers. This pier has been rebuilt so many times I have lost count. The next to last hurricane damaged a section, but they are in the process of refinishing. I love walking out there. Checking out what the fisher folk are catching. You got both sexes and all ages. Half the fun is identifying what everyone is catching. My Dad used to get all four of us kids walking up to everyone fishing and ask if they were keeping their catch. I am never sure if my Dad was poor or being cheap. I do remember eating catfish stew from a huge catfish head that someone gave us. Lovely views. Bird watching done as well.
