Cambria /ˈkeɪmbriə/ is a seaside village in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles along California State Route 1 (Highway 1). The name Cambria, chosen in 1869, is the Latin name for Wales. Cambria is situated amidst Monterey pines in one of only three such native forests. Previously, the town had gone by the names of Slabtown, Rosaville, San Simeon and Santa Rosa. The corresponding census designated place (CDP) had a population of 6,032 at the 2010 census, slightly down from 6,232 at the 2000 census.

What a find! We've been going to Cambria for several years and I don't know how we missed this. BEAUTIFUL trails with whimsical benches. Can't wait to go back. You can meander along the cliff trail and return on the upper trail.....or save one for another day. We brought a little snack and watched the waves. Easy easy walk for any age.

Stepladder Creamery is a small farmstead goat dairy and creamery just north of Cambria. We create small batch, handmade cheeses with milk from our herd of LaMancha goats and artisan cow's milk cheeses using milk exclusively from the Cal Poly dairy program. Join us for a tour and cheese tasting on our private ranch - it's a lovely escape! You'll get to play with our loveable goats, learn about cheesemaking and taste our seasonal cheeses. You can join our Cheese Club for exclusive cheeses and benefits too! All visits must be booked online in advance. We are not open to the public without reservations and we do not allow dogs on the ranch (since our herd protector dogs can be threatening to other animals). Thanks for your understanding! You won't want to miss this experience.

Cambria's premiere nursery, florist and gift shop. Find everything from garden basics, indoor and outdoor plants, professional florist services and charming home decor and gifts here!
This is a great place to visit. The plants and flowers always look healthy and vibrant. There are little areas to explore, including a lovely gift shop. Their location is divided nicely into various areas...succulents, blooming plants, garden accessories. It is a fantastic place to visit in December when Cambria is having their annual Christmas Market. The employees are very helpful.

This state park is a popular spot for picnics, weddings, and watching sunsets - or whales.
We return here often and were married here 34 years ago. Nice spot overlooking the ocean and her waves. Beautiful vistas and restrooms nearby.

Oceanfront scenic loop that parallels Highway 1.
Beautiful... Went up for the Christmas lights at Cambria Pines Lodge and found the most beautiful area.

Great little cookie shop set in a trading estate. Cookies made on the shop floor and there’s a few to choose from!

Conceived in a basement overlooking Moonstone Beach (yes, hillside basements in Cambria can have nice views), Todd Clift and his dad, Muril, began making wine in 1998. The hobby quickly got out of control, and blossomed into a full time passion. Todd chucked his corporate job to become an apprentice at local winery, just six miles south of Cambria. Under the tutelage of a 21-year winemaker who has won over 500 awards, he worked through four crush seasons before releasing his first vintages. Todd proudly crafts his wines from Central Coast grapes. Moonstone Cellars offers a wide range of varietals from a light and crisp Sauvignon Blanc to an off-dry Gewurztraminer; a supple Grenache to a full bodied Petite Sirah. Come visit us at our tasting room in in the West Village of Cambria (just blocks from the original hillside basement). We are open daily from 11 to 5.
Susanna and Andy are the best!! Knowledgeable and friendly and they make sure you leave happy. The wine is always fabulous. From start to finish. We have a hard time deciding on one bottle. Their outside tasting area will keep you warm and covid safe. Don't forget the seasoning rubs... great on popcorn!!

Decided to stop by before dinner for a wine tasting of local wines. The shop is really cute with lots of fun accessories. The tasting itself was very reasonable (1$ per tasting), with lots of great local wines to try. The woman serving us (Sherry) was super friendly and very informative, and while we hadn’t intended to buy more than a bottle, thanks to her great information and company we left with 6 bottles! Looking forward to drinking them with friends over the next few days.
