Jenny and her team manage our newly built property in the heart of Bright and they are doing an excellent job. Guests so far have been very respectful of the house treating it with the care it deserves. Bright Escapes have kept the communication open whilst the pandemic and bush fire period crippled the area. We thank them for their great work.

Had a lovely morning walk on the Canyon Walk, very pretty walking next to the clear Ovens river - plenty of locals out and very friendly, perhaps because they hadn’t seen visitors for a long time!

Howitt Park

Reviewed By Crystalline4u - Traralgon, Australia

This is a magnificent park on the Ovens River... all ages, all levels of fitness will enjoy the park. There is parking available for trailers/caravans and cars in the park. It offers public toilets, a sound-shell there for local events, undercover BBQ areas, picnic tables, bench sits to sit and watch the water, meandering paths, established shady trees, expansive lawn areas, a large children's play area. Also there is a Splash Park here and some of the local walks in the area start here. Walking through here recently it was quieter than other times that I have been here, but the Regional visitors were there. Children were playing in the park ... you could hear their delighted laugher. I went for a walk through the area and interacted as people greeted me. For awhile there... you could just lose yourself and pretend that Covid never happened... except we were all wearing masks.

Took a 3 and 6 year old and they had a ball here. So much to do with lots of huge trees to sit under. Would recommend this as a family activity. Playground nearby as well and restaurant a short walk as well.

The Visitors Centre was recommended by a family member as the best place to purchase local wines at prices similar to the wineries or bottle shops. Have a good range and staff very helpful.
