Stayed here for a few days in late May. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating to our needs and let us keep our bags behind the counter instead of leaving valuables in the car. We will definitely be back!

Inn on Mackinac

The year was 1867, an era of horse-drawn carriages and ladies in bustles. Blacksmiths were crafting horse shoes in glowing forges. During this height of Victorian culture, the Inn on Mackinac was built. Known then as Chateau Beaumont in memory of the famous Army surgeon at Fort Mackinac, the Inn on Mackinac has retained its quaint, old fashioned charm. The Inn’s facilities have been updated to meet the needs of the modern traveler while preserving its colorful history. Today, completely remodeled and redecorated, this beautiful Victorian Inn opens its doors, where the very special charm of our family-run Inn awaits you.

HORRENDOUS customer service

Reviewed By Global784936

Please be advised how unhappy we are! We reserved a room in January, 2022 and looked forward to returning to the Inn we enjoyed so much last summer. Unfortunately, on May 25 I was advised that I need hepatobillary oncology surgery. I immediately emailed the Inn on Mackinac only to be treated god awfully by Krystan the GM. We were to arrive June 7…that is the day of my surgery. She refused to cancel my reservation and said I was not eligible for a refund because my 14 day cancellation window closed May 24 at 11:00pm. No regard for my health, surgery and well being. They STOLE my $1,800 and said tough luck! Such a negative mark on your beautiful island.

Great place to stay in Ontonagon!

What a great little family motel in Ontonagon! We had such a great stay for a couple of days. Our room was clean and comfortable. The owners were super friendly and helpful. There is a nice beach with access across the street. Chairs are even provided. Such a homey place with firepit, grills, wood, outside tables and chairs. It was such a great setting. We even found some Yooperlites on the beach. We had such an enjoyable stay here we plan on coming back up here and staying here again.

Give me the old Brentwood back!!

Reviewed By JillBaby49

My husband and I have stayed at the Brentwood for years, and always had a positive experience. Until now. I was given the dingiest room--the carpet was dirty, the shower curtain was DISGUSTING, and the chair was so old and dirty and looked like an accordion the cushion was so caved in. What happened?

Gem in the Upper Peninsula

Reviewed By Andrew W

This is a gem of a motel close to the charming town of St. Ignace. The rooms are terrific and accommodate a small family or couple. The hosts, Armand and Sara are equally gracious, and made sure our quick visit offered all the comforts of home.Top marks for cleanliness, modern updates to the rooms, and double-top marks for the incredible gardens on the grounds...wow! We really enjoyed being a few meters off the 'main drag' of hotels and motels in downtown St. Ignace and yet only minutes from key attractions like the bridge view and Marquette memorial.

Absolutely Fabulous!

Stayed for one night in mid May 2022. We booked a king room. The owners have spared no expense on renovations of this property. Their attention to detail is impeccable. Cozy and so charming! Kelly was so pleasant and helpful with our reservations. She even called us the day of check in to say our room was ready, you don't get that with "big" hotels. Would not hesitate to book this place again !

Superior Motel & Suites

We have a very nice small motel. We have been #1 on Trip Adisor 2 years in a row. Our prices are right for everyone to enjoy our area at a reasonable rate.

Great clean suite, I would add blinds so its not so bright in the am.

Reviewed By cherylj332

Check in was quick and friendly. We rented the suite and it's huge. Living space, very nice kitchen area. Large bedroom with a big closet that teens set up a table and declared it their game room. Smaller room also with queen. Living areas, bedrooms and bedroom have wear but all very clean. Great price for so much space. The suite had a porch with chairs you could sit on. Great central location to restaurants and grocery. For a family of 4 you really can't beat this if you want space. The downside (ie why 4 instead of 5 stars)...the whole suite is slightly crooked ...ie it's slanty...this did not bother us all and ...we said its like a fun house (not that obviously, we are just silly people). The fridge is loud (did not affect sleeping as we had bedrooms.)...the pillows were rock hard. I would have liked a shampoo and conditioner instead of 2 shampoos in the room. I woke up thinking someone had turned on a light because it was so bright. Just blinds so curtains so if you need it dark stay elsewhere. All in all we would choose this place again.
