Great place for a short stay in Singapore!

I had a private pod with shared bathroom, small but plenty of space to not have to worry about constantly repacking your bag. Smart TV installed at end of bed. Comfy bed and clean bathroom. Really reasonable price for a place to crash at the end of the day.

A very poor experience

Reviewed By Gochimaster

I dont think that I have anything positive to write about the hotel. However, there are lot of things that we did not like: 1. Our room was not cleaned even once in our 4-day visit. 2. They claim to have a pool which is actually only a jacuzzi which has very low pressure and makes a lot of noise. 3. The water bottles they provide are 300ml bottles. 4. You don’t get wi-fi access on the upper floor of loft suite. 5. One of the lifts was not functioning properly for majority of our stay.

The batteries of the TV remote were dead, and I requested new ones. The receptionist chased me away since as he was playing with his computer.

Never will book again

This is my first and last booking ever. I booked through Agoda. And during check in, the staff said I only book for a 5 hour day stay from their system. However I had booked for a 1 day stay. Stranded at hotel lobby for 2 hours.. Staff not helpful, and taking so long to resolve the matter with Agoda. In the end I have to topup the difference for a day stay. The room is also not expected. Pics on website showed a different enchanted room design but was given a really bad small basic room. Once again, to no avail with the staff and Agoda. For this price, can get a much better room and service elsewhere. TV has no cable channels at all too.

MET A Space Pod @ Arab Street

Despite marketing efforts of a ‘staycation’, I say forget it.

Reviewed By mschys

I was already interested in getting a double pod for me & my 10yr old for the weekend. And then I saw in its Instagram, that it was encouraged as a staycation. So I was in the area the next day, and wanted to see how cool these pods are & very likely to book a place. Me & my son was met with such hostility at the reception. The girl said no looking, (I understand with covid measures, all that) without “I’m sorry but you can’t..” just a complete staredown & I was shocked by how hostile it was. No other info was given as though waiting for me to go out that door. If this place doesn’t need business, I totally get it but cut out the hostility & don’t market this place as a ‘staycation’. I rather be in a proper hotel with proper good manners. There were other people sitting next to the reception eating, is this allowed when this place isn’t f&b? I got a really negative impression today. Please do something if it matters.

Well-located, but tiny rooms

Reviewed By KaleneAndy

We stayed three nights here around New Year. Accommodation in Singapore can be costly at the best of times, so choosing something across New Year was more of a challenge than usual. We ended up selecting the Hotel Clover 7, not least due to its excellent location near downtown and Clarke & Boat Quays. Despite having read reviews about the room sizes, it was a surprise to discover quite how small it was (and we've travelled extensively in Japan, where micro-rooms are very common). That said, the bathroom was a decent size, the free water & soft drinks in the room fridge were welcomed and the bed was comfy. However, there is zero room either side of the bed, suitcases need to be stored underneath, and we had to take turns packing or dressing in the narrow section of the room. There also only seemed to be one usable electric socket, semi-hidden within the bench unit. Thankfully, we spent much of the time out and about in the city, only returning to the room to sleep. However, it would have been a lot more comfortable had we chosen somewhere a little larger. Breakfast, served two doors down the street at Hotel Clover 5, offered a mix of Malaysian and western items. However, the small size of the breakfast room (only 18 seats, serving at least two hotels) made for a very cramped environment on one of the mornings. The staff were helpful at checkout, storing our bags while we spent the final day out and about. However, I think we'd try to find somewhere a little larger for a future visit.

Slightly bigger than capsule

Reviewed By olisolo

Stayed 1 night. Paid around SGD68. Nothing much to expect but it's one of the cheapest with attached bathroom in city centre. Room is small but good for solo traveler. Bed is quite comfortable but the comforter and pillow cases are with stains. One of the light is not working. Wall cracks and paint came off. Room condition is average. Rooms are very close to one another, could hear next door flushing toilets or when they cough. No sound proof. Bathroom and basin is extremely small. If you need a cheap stay just for hours usage, this is the place but if you need a quiet peaceful rest at night, not here.
