Central hotel by the seaside in São Vicente, modern and with good service
Reviewed By nanbanXXIWent to Hotel Mont Rey in May 2017 during low season, and the price was just a little higher than we had been paying in hostels around the country. This is a modern hotel and good value. We got good service, a large room, good bed, safe parking, excellent breakfast, and friendly staff. The street is relatively quiet during the night, and the hotel is just a one-minute walk from a large shopping mall (Brisamar) and from the long marine parade in São Vicente, which connects to the parade in Santos. This is an excellent area for jogging. The Wi-Fi connection in the room/floor was weak. I guess that there was good connectivity in the lobby, but that was too many floors away. Otherwise, this was the first place where I found truly earthed electrical supply in Brazil, even in the heated showerheads, which suggests good quality building work and inspires confidence.

Reviewed By jessicadsmoliveiraO hotel é bem simples, precisando de manutenção e limpeza. Fica num local péssimo, movimentado, sujo, com bares lotados a noite e muitos moradores de rua. O quarto é modesto, nada de mais. Colchão duro, travesseiros finos, roupa de cama e toalhas gastas e encardidas. O ar até que estava gelando, o chuveiro esquentando e a TV funcionando (menos mal né). Nos deram apenas uma manta fina de casal super curta para cobrir e mais nada. Senti muito frio. A maçaneta da porta soltou na minha mão e por pouco não fiquei presa dentro do quarto. Café da manhã simples e com poucas opções. Foi só um final de semana, mas se fosse ficar mais, com certeza não seria neste hotel. Os funcionários são atenciosos e procuram te ajudar ( o que não deixou minha estadia pior...). Possui algumas opções de comida e bebida na recepção, mas também nada que surpreenda. Fato negativo e irritante demais é porque as poucas vagas disponíveis estão sempre ocupadas, te obrigando a deixar o carro em um estacionamento "associado" ao hotel que fica a uns 500 metros de distância. Ótima opção em dias de chuva ou calor forte (contém ironia RS). Enfim, não pretendo mais voltar.

Lovely family run hotel
Reviewed By S LWe stopped on our way through to catch the ship. Central location opp beach and near shops. A simple hotel offering such a friendly family service would highly recommend, good breakfast nothing is too much trouble, highly recommended- a must visit! The hotel offers a lift and wifi service.

Reviewed By Bruce_and_RoseniWe have been going to this hotel for years and I am ready to share our secret. We may have to find another place if this hotel becomes too popular, but I want oh well. We like the view from our window very much. We see the nice pool below and the bay of Sao Vicente. It is close to Sao Paulo and from our home in Osasco, it is only a little more than an hour to get to this hotel. The hotel could use a little maintenance to be at top level, but the price is good at around R$200 per night. We can walk to the beach in 5 minutes and there are plenty of restaurants nearby too. They have service in the hotel, but we don't use it much. The staff is very good and we especially like the manager, Lucia. The pool is nice and clean and large enough for a small group of 20 or so. We normally swim laps for exercise. I like the fact that we have a spectacular view and that we can hear the water crashing against the rocks below, yet it is not too intrusive to our contentment and tranquility. I do recommend you give it a try, but call and make a reservation during peak weekends. The wifi is free and normally good. They have some suites and rooms with balconies too.

We arrived at 2:00 in the morning, and the rooms that have been given where not at the level we were expected : lack of sheets, leakage in the room... Not a very good experience especially when you are with children....

Os pontos positivos são: fica perto da praia de Itararé, o quarto tinha vista para a orla da praia, com ar condicionado, colchão novo tamanho queen, apartamento reformado, com armários, microondas, geladeira e forno elétrico novos. Tem serviço de arrumadeira. O local estava organizado, possui estacionamento e os funcionários foram educados. Porém, há alguns pontos negativos: nas redondezas, à noite, há pessoas rondando as ruas próximas e, portanto, é bom ter cuidado. Alguns detalhes do quarto precisam de manutenção (portas descascadas e que não fecham corretamente, porta do gabinete do banheiro caída, vidros da varanda que não fecham por completo). Não tem roupa de cama. Leve seu travesseiro, porque os que encontramos estavam sem condições de uso. É confortável para 2 pessoas apenas, pois o sofá cama da sala era meio duro, não aconselho. O trilho do VLT passa bem embaixo, mas o barulho não nos incomodou. A diária encerra meio-dia, sem negociação, porque cada apartamento tem um proprietário diferente e o pessoal da recepção não pode autorizar late check-out. Saímos no horário, mas para aproveitar a praia à tarde, tivemos que voltar direto para casa. Para um final de semana, achamos OK, cumpriram o que prometeram, por um preço honesto.
