Beautiful chateau to explore the fjord
Reviewed By Traveller881206The old building in a very quiet but central area was really impressive. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms which don’t loose the old charme of the building but had everything you need(refrigerator, tv, USB ports). Calm and comfy stay. The mattress in our room was a little bit worn out and should be changed. No real problem for us during our two night stay.

Le gîte est installé dans un ancien presbytère construit en 1954 qui a été conçu par une firme d'architecte. Il est désigné monument patrimonial religieux. De plus, il est situé à 5 minutes de marche du centre ville et au abord de la rivière aux sables. Il dispose de 5 chambres avec salle de bain ou douche privés. Toutes les chambres sont décorées différemment ce qui leurs confèrent une personnalité propre à elle. L'auberge est muni d'un vaste stationnement privé à l'avant et d'un beau jardin à l'arrière. Une cuisinette équipée est disponible afin de vous permettre de vous préparer un repas. Le petit déjeuner est servi sur place. Reviewed By MikeBarry657We stayed here on a bike tour and really appreciated the nice, clean Auberge, and that it is in a great location, just a short walk to restaurants in Jonquiere and with a convenience store just across the street. The room included a nice breakfast with a mix of some serve yourself buffet items and great hot breakfast made to order.

Reviewed By andrewgA8783GDOwner Normand offers a pick up service and it was great to see him at the VIA Rail station following the earlier snow. I stayed in the themed Egypte Room which was very comfortable with a smart bathroom. The Gite is within walking distance of microbreweries offering food and other restaurants all of which were busy on a Friday evening. Next morning the breakfast was plentiful, refreshing and really tasty - yoghurt with granola followed by a cheese and ham omelette with accompanying fruit and toast. Thanks Normand for a lovely stay, all too short and for taking me to the coach station in yet more snow.

A warm and wonderful place to stay in Alma

The gite is well located within walking distance of restaurants, and easy to access from the highway. The hosts were very friendly and helpful in providing advice about things to see and do in the area, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast, served at a large communal table, was delicious. We would highly recommend this B&B to travellers to the beautiful Lac St Jean region.

Quiet, clean, comfortable and safe but very cheap breakfast
Reviewed By Angele LThe place was very quiet, the rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast however was very cheap. You had a choice of a blueberry muffin or chocolatine, an orange juice or an apple juice, an apple (only fruit available), and a piece of cheese. We stayed there 5 days so a diversity would have been greatly appreciated.

Si vous êtes à la recherche d'un charmant hébergement dans les environs d'Hébertville, venez découvrir l'auberge presbytère. Celui-ci a été constru en 1917 comme presbytère avant de l'adapter en une auberge en 1986. C'est ce qui la rend authentique. En plus des chambres de l'auberge, deux chalets prêt à camper pour quatre personnes chacun sont présent sur le terrain. Un service de restauration est inclut dans l'établissement et de réservation de salle pour y fêté des anniversaires, faire des rencontres professionnels ou encore célébrer des mariages. C'est le premier relai de motoneige en arrivant au Saguenay Lac Saint-Jean à partir de Québec à la jonction des sentiers 23 et 83. Les cyclistes sont toujours les bienvenues. Elle est à quelques minutes à pied de la plage du camping lac vert et du mont lac vert ou on y retrouve plusieurs activités été comme hiver. Le stationnement et un accès au wifi sont offres et les chiens sont admis avec frais.

The Auberge is in a bucolic rural setting and it completely met all of our needs, but the aspect that most struck us was how friendly and helpful all the staff were; they really made us feel welcome after a long, hot day on the road. The room was well-appointed and the food was superior - fine dining on a bike tour! It seemed several contractors and business people were staying here during the week as well, and were enjoying a welcome break from chain hotels. Highly recommended to stay if you are in the area.
